I'm 6'3" and I remember when I was stationed in South Korea going outside the large cities and everyone was so short. But in the major cities I was about normal. They say it has to do with nutrition as a growing kid. People in cities usually are better off financially and those in smaller villages don't get as much to eat.

I'm from Austria and one day I saw two different men on the subway that had to duck to get on the train. Our subways are roomy! Don't think like the London underground, think more along the lines of DLR. (Our non-subway trains are even roomier.) I'm 175cm (5'9'') and about average here, I'd say. Interesting how it is with the different heights. They say it depends a lot on nutrition. So the generation directly after the war was smaller than the more recent generations. Don't know if that's true.

Tbh, height (or weight) doesn't matter to most girls, because at a certain point attractiveness hinges on personality (women are hormonally different and prefer a person they can be intimate with). I think it depends on the situation, if you're a 6'2 guy dating a 6'8 woman. I'd feel like you'd be much more comfortable since you know in the back of your head that you're still considered tall by the major populace, you know? I always thought 1 foot - 12 inches actually.. Since in double sided rulers we have the markings like that, on a 6 inches ruler you have 15cms, and on a 12 inches ruler you have 30cms..
