Jonny Langridge: jesus Christ "It was said to them of old time, 'Honor thy Heavenly Father and thy Earthly Mother (mother earth), and do their commandments, that thy days may be long upon the earth.' And next afterward was given this commandment, 'Thou shalt not kill,' for life is given to all by God, and that which God has given, let not man take away. For-I tell you truly, from one Mother proceeds all that lives upon the earth. Therefore, he who kills, kills his brother. And from him will the Earthly Mother turn away, and will pluck from him her quickening breasts. And he will be shunned by her angels, and Satan will have his dwelling in his body. And the flesh of slain beasts in his body will become his own tomb. For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself, and whoso eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats of the body of death. For in his blood every drop of their blood turns to poison; in his breath their breath to stink; in his flesh their flesh to boils; in his bones their bones to chalk; in his bowels their bowels t o decay; in his eyes their eyes to scales; in his ears their ears to waxy issue. And their death will become his death. For only in the service of your Heavenly Father are your debts of seven years forgiven in seven days. But Satan forgives you nothing and you must pay him for all. 'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot; burning for burning, wound for wound; life for life, death for death.' For the wages of sin is death. Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan. For that is the path of sufferings, and it leads unto death. But do the will of God, that his angels may serve you on the way of life. Obey, therefore, the words of God: 'Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is breath of life, I give every green herb for meat. Also the milk of every thing that moveth and liveth upon earth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given unto them, so I give their milk unto you. But flesh, and the blood which quickens it, shall ye not eat. And, surely, your spurting blood will I require, your blood wherein is your soul; I will require all slain beasts, and the souls of all slain men. For I the Lord thy God am a God strong and jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands -of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength: this is the first and greatest commandment.'

Don't go vegan. That's just stupid. The protein you consume each day supplies your body with a pool of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein molecules. Your cells use these amino acids to synthesize new proteins as you need them - for example, to build muscle tissue, manufacture antibodies or replace red blood cells. Of the 20 amino acids in proteins, your body can make 11 of them. The other nine, known as essential amino acids, must be included in the foods you eat to avoid a protein deficiency. Meat is important in your diet because it is a protein-rich food that supplies you with all the essential amino acids you need for good health. Minerals, Including Iron In addition to offering significant protein, meat provides a wide variety of minerals to support the optimal functioning of your cells and tissues. For instance, it is an important source of both iron and zinc. Iron helps carry oxygen to and throughout your tissues, while zinc is required for a strong immune system, wound healing and enzyme activity within your cells. The phosphorus content of meat helps keep your bones strong, the sulfur it contains can be incorporated into new amino acids and the chromium found in meat assists in metabolizing your dietary sugars.

Compassion is seen as weakness among males in far too many cultures. There's a bit of pressure to conform to masculinity standards and deny that there is anything wrong. This is the reason many guys like myself won't take in the message to begin with. We articulate that "It's not that bad. I could handle this." Compassionate conversation can't take place unless we first accept the idea that we were never meant to consume it in the first place. My girlfriend tried for so long to convert me on the basis that "It is so wrong" when it worked better for her to show me "We were never meant to eat meat in the first place." Now I'm 6 months vegan and a proud activist, but it took her over 6 months to get to me. This doesn't work for every male, but get your arguments straight about the poor health and remind them how if we were meant to eat it, wouldn't slaughterhouse footage make us hungry? Men get too into themselves that they're cold blooded killers who need meat, but would probably vomit and cry trying to kill, skin, and disembowel an entire cow. Let's plant seeds and change the world.

Compassion, empathy and sensitivity are generally classed as feminine traits, whereas independence, leadership, logic, courage and purposefulness are classed as masculine traits. Interestingly, a mix of traits from both sides of the spectrum are needed and utilised as a person transitions to a vegan lifestyle. Those men need to learn that having or showing feminine traits doesn't mean you aren't masculine, as in some situations they can be mutually inclusive.

Humans are what they choose to be, which includes carnivores, omnivores and herbivores. There is, however, growing research on the negative health effects of consuming meat and some dairy products, when compared with a vegan diet (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWHKdpytmsZ0jLM), which leads one to conclude that we are more suited to an all plant-based diet. Most smokers don't always feel sick from smoking cigarettes, but they are still harmful and increase the risk of serious diseases.

He's worried about my protein levels and such and so is my mom. But recently I sent links to to videos about veganism and how the animals are treated and she understood why I want to do it and asked me questions to. Today we went to be store and she asked me what I needed/ wanted and even replaced some of my families stuff such as butter with vegan options. I'm sooo excited to finally be supported even more by my mom. And hopefully my dad will be in board. Any tips on how I can make my transition easier??!

BeautybyashtonT Use the website/app chronometer to compare the nutritional value of what you would otherwise be eating to your substitutes. As you're starting, it will also help you make sure you aren't missing out on anything important. You can also use it as evidence to your family to reassure them that you're getting enough protein (which you will find is extremely easy assuming you're getting enough calories). Also one thing many new vegans make the mistake of just not getting enough calories. Some people don't realize how calorically dense animal products are compared to plant products. That caloric density difference is one of the big reasons why vegans are the only dietary group in america that on average isn't overweight. In addition to that, just find some simple whole plant food staples that you enjoy. I really suggest trying various lentils and sweet potatoes, those are my personal favourites. Delicious savoury, satisfying go2meals are very important. Just try a lot of things out! Find out what you like.

As I have suffered from an eating disorder before, they think that veganism is just gonna be another way to restrict myself and they are also worried about protein haha. But they have now fully accepted me being vegetarian. I guess you just gotta stay certain and make it clear that you are not going to eat meat no more. Eventually they will get okay with it. Just don't be rude and try to force your belives on them, and maybe they may also change their view after time. Sending you all my love and support! You can do it :)

Rafaela :3 i mean i can understand why your parents would be worried about your health, but since they let you become a vegetarian it would be easy to transfer over. Just tell your parents that you wanna use/try a new brand of butter/cheese etc. (which it would be vegan) or you can make it yourself and get the ingredients you need for it. There's a lot of prep means for vegans on youtube. Not sure if you make your own meals or not But i advise you to make your own meals and show your parents that you are in charge of your meals and you are eating healthy (so they dont think that your not eating) just a heads up, when you become a vegan you actually eat a lot more because its low in fat and you don't really feel full. Just stay positive and eat healthy.

beautiNana Fernandez I am healthy, I eat enough and do not suffer from an eating disorder no more. :) I am responsible for preping my own breakfast and school lunch, wich mostly is oatmeal with soy milk and grains and fruits or avocado sandwiches, veggies, fruits, nuts and other bits. My parents are okay with me using plant milk etc, but sadly they do not support me with it, meaning I have to buy these myself (except for veggies and fruits and vegetarian meals). I also track my nutrients and except for B12, wich I take a supplement for every few days, everything is good. I would say that almost 80% of what I eat is vegan, and now I am slowly trying to convince my parents that I somehow developed a lactose intolerance (wich I have not, but dairy is nasty you know haha), so I can slowly transition without them really noticing. But shhh, don't tell them ;) Haha

Sometimes someone has to go out and try their best to make a difference in the world, rather than being at home wanting to. It takes courage to go out and talk to strangers to reveal the truth. Obviously most of the population that still consumes meat and dairy are brainwashed into believing we need this to survive. Samantha Lockridge when you're doing an informative presentation, forcing the guilt trip towards people that are obviously not for animal cruelty may come off as aggressive. Most people who consume meats and animal byproducts are not for cruelty and are simply unaware of the industry standards. Talking to you're audience in a way that makes them sound inconsiderate normally doesn't achieve the argument' s goal. FUCK it's another stupid vegan....The protein you consume each day supplies your body with a pool of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein molecules.
@beguru58266 жыл бұрын
DEMKeys you obviously have never seen vegan body builders 😂 You can get all 9 essential amino acids from plants bro. Animals are the secondary sources of all the nutrients you get. They all have to come from plants first. Plants are given to animals, you eat the animals. It’s like dipping your broccoli in acid and then eating it.

I went vegan three years ago for my health. Now it's also a moral issue. In the book of Daniel in the bible , Daniel and his three friends ate vegetables and water for ten days instead of the delicacies of the king (meat) so as not to pollute their bodies. After the ten days they were healthier and stronger than all the others who ate differently. We must also remember that in the garden of Eden we ate plants not animals. Only after the flood of Noah's day did Jehovah make the concession to eat meat . Even then He made rules for the humane treatment of animals in the law of Moses . Man again went his own selfish way and treated them with cruelty. Our modern world has taken that cruelty to new heights. Being a true Christian , I suppose what I'm trying to say , is anyone who follows the bible and has a moral conscience cannot support the slaughter going on today especially when there are so many options available. God will, in my educated opinion on this subject, stop this slaughter of His creation and as Revelation 11:18 says "Bring to ruin those ruining the earth". I am not political . This is just my opinion.
@infiniteworlds56 жыл бұрын
But then, why did Abel decide that killing a lamb as a sacrifice was acceptable? Why did he even raise and herd sheep, if not for their wool/milk/flesh? The reason that Daniel and his friends refused to eat the delicacies of the king was not because they didn't want to eat meat, it was because the Babylonians didn't follow the mosaic law, and they ate pigs and such that the Jews had been commanded not to eat. The reason Daniel and his friends were blessed for their choice is because they were faithful in a very difficult situation. They had all just been taken captive, and could have easily reasoned that they had no other choice but to eat what was put before them. But Danial was faithful even in this rough spot, and that's why he was blessed. It was not because veggies are better.

Dude don't tell them it tastes exactly the same, we all know it doesn't. It can taste very similar, but exactly the same, nah. Well that's my experience anyway. :) but for me that's fine, I don't want it to taste exactly the same. Like, I wouldn't want to be reminded, at every meal, that I once ate 'real meat' meaning animal flesh. That would fuck up my appetite. I don't want to forget though, what I've done, because I don't want to forget that I'm in debt to every living animal, because of my actions even if they were commited in ignorance.

+Joey Carbstrong I'm not a vegan. I have been steadily (almost naturally) gravitating towards a mainly plant based diet. It all started with giving up dairy because of skin and GI issues. It became so much easier for my husband and I to eat at vegan restaurants. There is a group that sometimes sets up in Austin and they are not pushy, they offer images or written information, and are willing to talk to those that approach them. Like I said, I'm not fully plant based but having that written information in my hands to take home and read has influenced my diet choices more than I thought it ever would. This is the only video of yours that I have seen, and I want to say that I can really appreciate the way you are trying to convey your message; with patience and without condescension. What a beautiful manner of helping others open their minds to a better lifestyle. Approach is everything.

My wife and I both went Vegan 01.01.2017 and it's the best decision I've ever made in my life. I'll be honest and say prior to that I shared some of the uninformed and ignorant views held by many meat and dairy consumers, including the young guy in this video. It's how we get the message across that's important otherwise nothing will ever change. For me, it was the Gary Yourovski speech that hit me like a steam train! I needed it...no holds barred, no sugar coating, just in your face with cold hard truths. My wife wasn't much for his speech but was far more receptive to the James Aspey speech... Spread the love people, change is on it's way but only if we make it happen! 🌱💪👊

the very first step is always ignorance... (then denialy and then you got her ;-) ) but why not leaving some books about veganism from the library on the table or find some superyummy treats and ask her if she would like to try them (make her addicted to those ;-D )? ...but it`s maybe no easy thing... my husband e.g. is not a vegan and he barely cared, but I almost bombarded :-D him with vegan documentaries (in a nice way, he wanted to spend the weekends watching movies together and was willing to see those) and the wheel is slowly turning, he now still eats meat, but I recognize that he now thinks twice before eating meat and he is now much more aware... but culturally he is a tough one, because in his culture the main issue to talk about is food and the taste is the absolute ultra (even the own health is unimportant compared to taste)... slowly slowly, drop by drop and it takes time... (and I think our plus is that our movement is growing)

Joe I love your confidence and passion but your smile and body language comes off a bit aggressive, you will meet more resistance because of it. You also cut people off from speaking and this will meet more resistance because if you don't give to others they out of principle will not give to you. If you are aggressive to guys particularly they will not open up to you because guys know it is risky to appear emotionally vulnerable to others as this will make them more likely to be abused so they put up their guard. When someone is upset with the videos allow them to be upset without interruption, the loneliness of being in the experience on their own will make them more vulnerable and the non interruption will allow them to realise their feelings and instant reaction to what they see, when they don't react that is the time to talk

I think a good argument when people say 'how do you know they want to live' is that they should try throwing a pig or cow into a deep river and see if they just sink to the bottom or try to kick to the surface to survive. It seems empathy evolved, and is almost like a physical part of the brain. It varies in people, as does general intelligence, as you can see in this type of video, the dude in the red Nefertiti jumper just don't get it. I postulate that vegans would have much higher levels of empathy if tested.

Lizbeth Sosa I knew from the age of 8 or 9 that I didn't agree with meat, I didn't have anyone point it out, just seemed obvious to me. So going vegan was logically and easy for me. I guess as long as there is a lot of low-empathy people out there, change will be very slow. Lots of people thought slavery was great (and probably lots out there that still would) so I guess it's still possible to make changes despite them (but maybe it will take a war).

Empathy evolved? No, empathy comes from the spirit, not a physical part of the brain. The much more likely reason some are more empathetic is that in a former life they were animals themselves. Reincarnation resolves karma and teaches empathy.

Go for it Girl, when people go Vegan the ONLY regret they have is that they didn’t do it sooner, as for taste, I know what a meat based diet is like( I was a big time meat eater till I went Vegan in my 20’s) . As a child my mum was an excellent cook. She made us different Meat meals everyday, BUT when I went Vegan instead of it being a restricted diet( as I expected) in taste, it turned out to be the opposite. Cos Vegans utilise hundreds( if not thousands) of plant foods such as, fruits, Nuts, seeds, grains, Legumes, seaweeds, Herbs, Spices, mushrooms etc etc. Making Vegan meals, both much more varied, delicious and nutritious!.

My heart went out to this lovely girl because she was in obvious pysical, emotional and spiritual shock . I would have insisted on some immediate support and after care . She needed to sit down , be given a beverage and shown loving tenderness after this experience .She really could have done with a dear friend by her side. Which I'm sure you did after filming. She was a real sweety . If she ever reads this . You can do this !!! , and we the Vegan community are all warmly behind you hon : ) that was incredibly brave . Thank you for having the courage to watch the film , you are a beautiful compassionate being.

You plant a seed in every single person you talk to Joey. And no doubt they go away and talk to friends, family and work colleagues about their conversation with you and experience wearing the headset, so with each person it's not just them you are reaching but the people in their lives too. Good job, thanks for being out there doing the amazing work you do to help save the animals and spread the vegan message 👌

Laura Bell The protein you consume each day supplies your body with a pool of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein molecules. Don't waste seeds. We need them for spices.

@@lucidtalks4959 maybe dont label us omnivores and meat eaters as very hurtful people, maybe then we might actually be nicer, like we aren't calling you lot rapists and murderers towards nature, like you can eat meat and still feel grateful and thankful to the animal that you're eating, you don't need to label people based on their personal choices towards food

Black Crow625 there's no need to be childish and calling people dumb. It's completely immature the facts are out there and if you're angry you're only blinded by your anger for what. for the fact that what we've been eating has been really damaging us and unnecessarily killing innocent creatures... but where the dumb ass right . Listen go love yourself and love the Earth cuz honey you need a little love in your life if you're going to be that angry of a person. 😘
