I used to work on a factory dairy farm down the street from me. I spent about 5 years there. It felt like 100. The last couple years there. I wanted to die every morning. and every night. One of the saddest things I think I've ever seen was a six-year-old mother losing the will to live. Falling down on the shit and piss covered concrete unwilling to go on..the look of defeat and hopelessness in her big beautiful sad eyes. Going vegan saved my life. Dogs and cats were domesticated for the intended purpose to help humans. They’re also carnivores. To us they have lower nutritional value than herbivores. Unfortunately we found little nutritional value in dogs and cats and decided to breed them for intended jobs, such as hunting birds, rodents or looking for recently killed or injured animals for hunting. When it comes to cows, pigs and chickens, they have higher nutritional value because of what they eat, chickens are omnivores as well, but will more so eat grain. Maybe fight for nutritional and ethical farming with omnivores or be forever divided and just accept diversity

Our brains are far more advanced from the other animals, but we are still an animal too. But contrary to some people's opinions, having more developed brains doesn't separate us from the rest of the animal kingdom, we have the same ability to think and make decisions. The outcome from our decisions have just been so much greater due to our higher intelligence allowing us to be able to do so much more. Levels of brain development is irrelevant. Other animals, even other mammals don't share the same brain developments either, a dog can be trained to be a rescue dog, hunting dog, seeing eye dog, but certainly not every mammal can do such. We are not separated from the other animals because we have higher intelligence and brain development. I'm sure you see that. Not everyone does.

I will not stand up against one sort of cruelty and ignore the other. That would make me a hypocrite. But you dont see it that way. Nothing happens over night. Slavery wasn't abolished over night, the holocaust didn't stop over night, womens rights didn't come over night. Change takes time and brainwashed people will need time to wake up. I am willing to wait but change is happening. People go vegan all the time and vegan foods sell out faster than anything else in the stores. I see that every day. Now, let me ask you a question. Do you care that people in China kill and torture dogs for food? Then why tf dont you care about the animals you eat? Cows are holy in some places, so what makes killing, raping and torturing them less evil than killing and torturing dogs?

Zaebos007 really? That's news to me. I'm not starving and neither are any of my friends or the millions of vegans worldwide. There are, however starving children in impoverished countries because the West is feeding those grains to factory farmed animals. So every time someone eats an animal product they've essentially taken food out of a starving child's mouth and given it to their future burger. Cheers!

My dad has worked his whole life on a pig farm and last night I showed him the Dominion Trailer. Once it finished I asked him what he thinks about it and he said it makes him feel angry, to know that he treats his pigs so lovely and makes sure that they are all healthy and then they end up at slaughter houses and get treated so wrong. The conversation lasted a long time and in the end he agreed that even without a slaughter house and going back to a shot in the head, uneccassary death on animals what wrong. I finally asked him if he thinks he will ever be vegan and he says he's not sure, he feels like it's a big change and he's too old. I refreshed and asked if vegan food is made to taste the same or better than meat/dairy and it was convenient to buy, would he choose that over death? He said, you know what son, you have a good point there and I probably would. Thanks to people like Joey who inspire me to talk about veganism, even with my family who are all farmers.

"This is disturbing for kids to see" The problem isn't the video, the problem is whats in the video, what if we showed children people foraging for berries, or in a field harvesting vegetables, would we hide that from their eyes? of course not, but we don't want to see brutality because everybody intuitively knows its wrong, but continues to act against their morals and support it regardless. Part of the reason we have this injustice is because we willingly and intentionally hide the truth from not only our kids, but ourselves. More people would respond to the truth if we saw the truth. People in society are responding to the dark, because alongside corporate lies, that's what we're taught to promote and be kept in. keep spreading the light, Joey. GOOD WORK!

Kyle B false. Vegans have a lower chance of being deficient in any vitamin or mineral. With B12, the only reason meat eaters intake any at all is because the animals’ food is supplemented and they are getting it secondhand. Then I asked her one day why she posts selfies and videos on social media of herself cuddling calves and feeding them. She says because calves are "cute" and "she loves them". Then I asked her "but you know where the boy calves go. Are you ok with that?" She got defensive and said " I don't fucking care. It's humane." Then she started making jokes about vegans to another classmate of mine who was also a dairy farmer. That guy probably hated me.The calves on some of her videos were female and chained to small huts and they would run and against the chain but they would fall once they reach the end of the chain and she thought that was funny. Bless You for sticking to it! I was watching/listening this while cooking. Turned vegan over 2 years ago out of health and environmental reasons, and apart from all the benefits concerning my own health, the health of animals and the positive effect it has on my own consumption and therefor the environment, unfortunately these kind of tiring conversations have entered my daily life as well. The struggle is real and these people are blind sided and kept ignorant both by the industry but also by themselves. Only yesterday I had an online conversation with someone who wrote me excuses like: “I know vegans who drive a car.” Or “I know vegans who travel by plane.” When will people stop excusing one evil with another evil? I find it very impressive how the vegan in this video keeps coming back with solid arguments for his case, where the two ill-informed youngsters keep relying on ignorant statements only to clear their own conscience and not to take responsibility. It’s a lesson in how to prepare yourself for these kinds of conversations. A frightening one, but a very good one as well!

Eloise Katherine Jackson, I watch videos like this before I go to any AR events. They ground me and prepare me for the antagonists, who would otherwise get under my skin. Even then, sometimes they do press my buttons, I start to get irritated or impatient, and then I recall whatever video I watched, and it brings me right back to zen....also, when I realize I am letting someone get to me, it makes me laugh as I think to myself, "Damn, imagine how pissed off I'd be if I didn't watch those videos beforehand". One of the fields are full of young heifers ( about 50 ) some can't be any older than 16 weeks and are tiny.... they are just another fresh batch if new wombs later to be exploited for their reproductive system.... it's one big production line... the dairy industry is Female reproductive exploitation and has a female and mother I will NEVER stop fighting for my sister's💖

"You'll never stop dairy." Dairy farms are now filing for bankruptcy and America's oldest dairy farm has closed down and has switched to farming almonds. This abuse will stop. It is stopping. One day, there will be a world free of animal abuse.
@FreakHarryPotter4 жыл бұрын
@babe brown, exactly. We should respect them. So, with that in mind, do we respect a cow when we take her baby away from her? Do we respect a calf by ripping him or her away from his or her family? Can we respect animals and violate their rights? Isn't respect not breeding sentient individuals into this in the first place?
@FreakHarryPotter4 жыл бұрын
@babe brown, so, what is the moral difference between a person and an animal? In terms of their capacity to understand life and death, aren't there some humans who don't have the capacity to understand life and death? Does this justify us killing them? Does this mean that they don't feel pain? So, does the mother letting a runt of the litter die justify us paying for animals to be murdered? How are these two things related? Let's put this in a human context: let's say there are some twins and one tragically dies of an illness as a baby or gets rejected by their parents. Does that then justify somebody going and deliberately killing another human? Exactly, we have free will and we have moral agency, which is our ability to act based on right or wrong. As such, don't we have a moral responsibility to truly respect animals by leaving the exploitation of animals out of our lifestyle?

Of course, individually, if you throw us out in the 'wild' with no weapons and no clothes, we ain't nothing of the sort. However, to conceptualise things in that way is to deny the truth of what it is to be human. We are tool making animals who have got to a point where we can selectively breed bodies into existence and dispose of them on a large scale and consume them in all kinds of ways to such an extent that the whole balance of nature is now completely out of sync. We are predators of another kind altogether.
@roku32166 жыл бұрын
Alex To be human is also to have moral agency and to philosophize about what amount and degree of harm is acceptable. Our human religions and philosophies overwhelmingly counsel reduction of harm and suffering while still meeting our needs. That sets us apart even further from other animals.

And the next option is to have a vegan adopt the male calves, i.e., get a vegan to participate in the industry. Actually, if he volunteered to take all the male calves off their hands, do you think they would have agreed? I think they would rather have the money they get for selling the calves to slaughter.

I always found annoying when people use to say: "I don't want to see it alive or I can't eat it", even when I was carnist I thought that that was hypocritical.
@roku32166 жыл бұрын
Likewise. Even though I never digested meat well, I ate it because I thought I had to. Even back then I always hated that kind of hypocrisy like "I love animals so I can't stand to see them slaughtered and don't show me". I actually used to say more blunt things about the process when I still ate meat than I do now, because now the response I hear is "You just say that because you're vegan". Now I dial it back.
