There’s an exchange over the radio that culminates in you being able to take on a super weapon when the music swells for the finale. It’s an epic use of music in a video game.

Orchestra = Human Synth = Machine AC7, 6, 3 and AC3D use synth sounds to describe drones and ai. Hush, Malebolge, Revelation and Zone of Endless use this Orchestra which is made of humans is used with Human battles. Zero, Unsung War, Liberation of Gracemeria and Archange being some examples.

AC7 also specifically uses a guitar for Spare squadron, which gives their tracks kind of a rebellious vibe that I think really fits.

Sol Squadron is fun as hell. That lone guitar accenting the orchestra and vocals and playing even when you can barely hear it. As if trigger being overwhelmed by immeasurable odds still presses on!

Try hearing that soundtrack while you play the stage, when the woman starts the chant the entire heli-carrier comes of nowhere and you have to take it down with your team while fighting it, it's entire army of planes and watch out for it's special defence, it's fooking legendary.

I recently watched Alex Moukala reaction to Daredevil, and it really highlights how different kinds of Music Producer sees a music track differently. Which is fascinating. Especially since Alex is an Orchestral music producer, while Joey is a Hip Hop music producer.

If you haven't seen it already watch 8 bit music philosophy's ace combat segment. He adds musical notes and describes which techniques are being used. He ends with daredevil and fleshed out a part of it I always thought was weird, which would be the fake out of the horns in the back during the crescendo.

Daredevil has to be one of my favorite tracks of any Ace Combat game, especially at the portion of the mission you are in. Everyone is desperate to figure out some way to take out the Arsenal Bird after the saturation attack failed and all the while Count, your wingman, has a radio in his cockpit picking up radio transmissions from the Lighthouse and talking and then the Princess finally succeeds in disabling the Arsenal Birds shield, finally making the leviathan vulnerable to attack by the coalition forces with Trigger leading the way.

I played the mission that plays this masterpiece. I was almost holding my breath for minutes evading and attacking the arsenal bird, missiles all over. One of the most epic gaming moments i've ever had in years. Praised be the Project Aces team, they are real artists.

Rumor has it, this song is the reason why the game was delayed for an entire year. the Director and Composer weren't happy with it and didnt want to release the game until it was perfect. so the game got delayed until it was.

Its such a fantastically constructed moment. The game almost literally screams at you "Go, now is your chance, take it down!" which, aside from being a banging musical moment, is also a genious addition to the level design of that mission.

yeah, 90% of the songs power comes from experiencing it, not only has it slowly been sneaking its way into the game across your whole playthrough with more 'toned down' version but they sync raido chatter and destress called to it. Its hand down one of, if not the best, OST in a game

All of the themes for Mihaly are great. ‘Two Pairs’ is a tense, sudden one-on-one that serves as a good introduction theme. ‘Sol Squadron’ is the upgraded yet more controlled version; instead of just the tense horns, we get more instruments acting in beat, almost like Mihaly with his team. Then, finally, ‘Archange’ is the final battle.
