It’s a solo flute and bell combination that you were wondering about. Used a lot back in the 70’s. The guitar is just strumming chords in the background. The flute and bell would most likely be a vst or kontakt in this track

This is VERY Bobby Womack; and others as well. And it’s definitely intentionally funny AF too. Not disrespectful, because it’s just too damn crystal but they are laying a lot of funny puns here and EVERYTHING is hitting. This is a song that can get played a million times and you’ll listen to it again a million more into your old age.

Idk how to properly write out chords but I have perfect pitch. Those 2 chords on ‘wrong’ is Dmaj12 or just D12 and Gmaj12 or G12. Def got Dmaj7 and Gmaj7 in there for sure tho. I need to take a theory class so I can write it out properly lol
@Tradell
@Tradell 2 жыл бұрын
There are no 12 chords lol but you got the roots right. It’s a I-IV cadence in D major (Dmaj9-Gmaj9)! I-IV cadences are pretty common and have a timelessly beautiful sound.
@corazonbeso
@corazonbeso 2 жыл бұрын
@@Tradell but with Bruno, he added the 12th note vocally to the Dmaj9 since it’s D, F#, A, C#, E. So that’s technically a Dmaj11..if that exists lol. He sang an F#. That’s why I thought it would’ve been a 12 chord Lol. Thanks a bunch for your explanation. My ears have gotten me through a lot but I need to actually learn how to write out chords. I’ve always been able to pick out the roots or the individual notes in a chord, no matter how crazy it is.
@Tradell
@Tradell 2 жыл бұрын
@@corazonbeso Again respectfully, there is no 12 in music theory !! You spelled the Dmaj9 out right, but don’t know where the scale degrees are. A maj9th chord is made up of scale degrees 1 (D), 3 (F#), 5 (A), 7 (C#), & 9 (E) from the major scale of said chord, in this case D major. If Bruno sung F#, that means he sung the 3rd over the chord.
