Having helped my father restore a Broadwood forte piano in the sixties, I know how almost impossible it is to keep it in tune. This one sounded lovely, and J.C.F.’s composition was charming😂

It's not one of my favorite children of J. S. Bach, but it still offers us wonderful jewels like this one. 💖

He's the youngest among JS sons and he even generated a composer son, Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst Bach who was born 11 years before LvB. He brought Bach's family to three generations composers, just likewise the Mozart family (Leopold, Wolfgang, Xaver). JSB father was a musician (Johann Ambrosius) but not a composer, best of my knowledge, otherwise it would have brought to a record of four generations composers. However Christoph Bach, father of JA and grandfather of JS was a composer and had other two sons, whose one, Johann Christoph, uncle of JS was a composer. In a way Bach's family may be awarded as a record family with five generations of composers: Christoph, Johann Christoph, Johann Sebastian, Johann Freiderich Christoph and Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst. Unfortunately nothing is known of Hans Bach, father of Christoph and great grandfather of JS. He was a local musician, amateur trumpet player in the local band , but God knows if he wrote anything. He was a miller, likewise his father Veit Bach who was an Hungarian refugee who played the German zither, a stringed instrument, whose he was amateur player. Nothing is known about Veit's father, not even his name.

Sorry but you're wrong, that's not a harpsichord but a fortepiano. A genuine copy of a late XVIIIth century instrument.
