Grande organo, bellissima esecuzione e grande Vivaldi........
@herrickinman9303 Жыл бұрын
This throws cold water in the faces of those who think Bach composed keyboard arrangements of Vivaldi string concertos in homage to Vivaldi. Both Bach and his Weimar cousin J.G. Walther were commissioned to make these keyboard arrangements of Italian concertos.

Wow, bravo.I have never heard this piece of Walthers music. I knew Walther was one of the great lutheran Composers from the pre Bach period. This playing by this Organist is both splendid and uplifting showing the beautifull clear sweat tones of this beautifull instrument. It also shows again the mastery of the Geran organ builders to build such an instrument and then give it such clear ringing tones that makes one think of a happy sunday morning in spring with Church bells calling the faithfull to worship.

*After Vivaldi's Concerto RV 275
@marcelobrunorodrigues7630 Жыл бұрын
Since I have got the scores of all concerto transcriptions by Walther, I began to compare them with Bach's ones: I feel that, while Walther remained more according to the orchestral parts, Bach used technical details characteristic of the keyboard instruments (organ and harpsichord).
