On today's episode, Pastor Ken teaches a message from the 8th chapter of the Gospel of John, "The Woman Caught in Adultery."
Here we witness the "teachers of the law and the Pharisees" attempting to entrap and accuse Jesus. However, he quickly reveals their hypocrisy and shows us the ethics of the Kingdom in his merciful act of forgiveness.
"Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone."
- Jesus
Our prayer is that the Scripture would act as a mirror to reveal our heart attitudes, and bring us to greater Spiritual maturity in Christ.

Jesus was sinless the only person left after everyone had left being accused by their own conscience. It also shows the hypocrisy of the leaders. Jesus demonstrated sinless behaviour and He had compassion on her as a true man of God. A son of the almighty one.

Forgetting His Teachings, I commented to these men standing on the corners, streets, not recognizing the COPD-19 directives, for staying home. It was a racial remark about my own people. Having to Repent daily, for speaking, when perhaps, I should have minded my own business.

The important thing is you recognized your own comment. I was taught through church; Be quick to listen and slow to speak. If I step back and look at myself to judge myself to the Lord, than I am left to Pray for the offenders. Jesus's Plumb Line Amos 7:7-8. And for those who continue to sin; Psalm 50:16-23. God Bless you.

I believe that Jesus wrote in the dirt something to the effect of "Where is the man?" If she was truly caught in the act of adultery, then both she & the man were to be executed. That they only brought the woman suggests that they let the man go.

Never thought of that. I have always believed that He was writing the 10 commandments in the dirt…for them to read and see the other commandments that they’d broken; if not adultery , they had still sinned just the same

@@jasonusaf6326 Also, the law required that executions be carried out outside of the gate to the city & they brought her into the temple.

This was the day after the feast of Tabernacles. Which this year is roughly just under seven months. This was not during Passover.

Before Jesus died on the cross, people sinned on a regular basis, and they sacrificed animals for forgiveness. The Bible tells us that Jesus death on the cross was meant to give us a better way. He came to bring righteousness to his chosen people. 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us this: "For our sake, he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." Scripture also says: 1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness." Scripture also says: “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” Romans 6:18. There are many people who call themselves Christians today who do not live any differently than people did before Jesus came. They sin on a regular basis just as people always did before. They believe they have been saved even though there is no distinction between their lifestyles and that of unbelievers. They believe Jesus made the sacrifice so that they can sin without a penalty and recieve constant forgiveness. This was not what God intended. The free gift that he offers is only for those who are obedient to living without sin. Hebrews 5:9 tells us: "And being made perfect, he (Jesus) became the source of eternal salvation to all who OBEY him," Deliberate rebellion against God was not acceptable before Jesus came: Numbers ch. 15 tells us: "But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the Lord, and he shall be cut off from among his people. Because he has despised the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him." Also, we are told that deliberate rebellion today is still not tolerated even after Jesus died on the cross: “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.” (Hebrews 10:26). Jesus came to forgive sins and also to bring righteousness to those that he chooses to forgive. Most Christians deny that righteousness is possible. Without faith in the power of God to deliver us from the bondage of sin, they will not be able to enter his kingdom. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 confirms that righteousness is required for Salvation: "do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." God’s grace does not forgive continual sins. It frees us from the bondage of sin itself. Unsaved Christians are still living under the law. They are trying to find ways to conquer their sins on their own. They may run from church to church looking for answers. They may think this speaker or that one will have the magical answer. No human being can tell you how to stop sinning. There is no five step program that can change our heart. It is a miracle from God that we recieve when we are truly Born Again. Sin cannot be overcome without the power of the Holy Spirit. Those without the Holy Spirit are still under the law and they will pay the full penalty that the law requires come Judgment Day.

I think you’re missing the point, Jesus told her to “go and sin no more”; let’s pause to ask if that is possible for her to do. Is it possible for any of us to go the rest of our lives without stumbling? The woman wasn’t saved. Others who recognized their sin and sought Christ were told “your sins are forgiven, go in peace”. She justified her sin away from her conscience, as the book of Proverbs said was the nature of an adulterous woman.

Christ was upholding the law and keeping it to a T. That was the point of this history. The Pharisees brought just the woman who was allegedly caught in adultery. But the law says to bring BOTH man and woman. Deuteronomy 22:22 [22]If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, *then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman:* so shalt thou put away evil from Israel. Leviticus 20:10 [10]And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, *the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.* The Pharisees are already in sin at this point not being righteous in judgment by bringing both parties. Christ doesn't stone her because that would be unrighteous Leviticus 19:15-16 [15]Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: *but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.* [16]Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: *neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.* Thirdly, Christ is not the one to stone her first anyways because the law says the witnesses should be the first Deuteronomy 17:6-7 [6] *At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death;* but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. [7] *The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people.* So thou shalt put the evil away from among you. Seeing the Pharisees were already in sin by not bringing both parties to judge their neighbor righteously they were convicted and left hence “he who is without sin among you cast the first stone” Lastly Christ doesn't condemn her because now there are no witnesses, no second party who was apart of the act, etc So Christ was demonstrating how to keep God's laws correctly
