John Brzenk is an absolute living legend. Sure he's lost matches, but the man has cemented his status dominating the sport for over 20+ years beating guys who are much bigger and stronger than he was. No arm wrestler could match his legacy. John is simply the GOAT. Even now at his age John is still a beast. 💪

John uses a really cool technique that, basically, disables the opponents ability to engage their arm muscles well (a skill probably gained from his engineering degree - angles, laws of leverage etc). And his hand size/shape helped all this. It took a long time before John got old enough, for this technique to no longer work so well for him :) But, in his prime, this technique stopped even the biggest monsters! A classic case of brains over brawn

unknownbillionaire Everyone loses at some point...especially when you arm wrestle almost every tournament all around the world for 30 years. People will catch you at your worst when they are at their best. Not saying Larratt isn't a beast, but he is nothing compared to John Brzenk. I love Larratt and think he is a great ambassador for the sport, but has he ever even gone overseas? Arm wrestling is much more popular in Europe and around the world than in the US/Canada. He needs to start going to Nemiroff and other tourneys like the A1 Russian Open and dominate those for a few years before anybody can begin to call him #1.

Without a second thought he says “he is really strong”. I’ll tie that to another comment saying “if Cobra worked out”. I think the obvious answer is “Cobra worked out hard, paid his dues”. Probably never saw that bicep all pumped up. Question. Who has or had the toughest hand to crack? Short story test your memory. Hanging out at Rick Vardell’s house putting in some table work. You grip up with the big guy and he says something like “you’re not peeling this thing open buddy, not on your life”. Go! Peeled him like a Valencia orange. I think he was expecting that because as he uttered some expletive he fired his giant shoulder up behind that limp wrist. All good fun. Though I sucked at armwrestling it was a good time, one of the favorite periods of my life. Buddy you’re #2 GOAT IMHO.
