Cena wanted to become heel either in 2006 or 2007 but Vince said no. Cena did admit they had plans to turn Cena heel for WM 28 Cena vs Rock 1 even got new gear and new theme song made, but that went out the window
@rickylyon38464 жыл бұрын
Cena explained in an interview that he would love nothing more than to turn heel. He already has a new theme song and new gears in case it ever happens. But he also explained why he wouldn't do it just for the kick of it. He explained that he considers he can only turn heel if there is someone out there that can take the load and become the new hero for all the kids watching. So far, there hasn't been anyone that could become the new hero. Either because of their personality, their character, their workmanship or just because of the way WWE built the other guys or how they couldn't get the fans to invest in other guys. The only one that ever made it close enough was Daniel Bryan but then he got injured and had to retire for awhile. And when he returned, the momentum never got back to the same level as before. As for the selling too much merchandise argument, remember how Hogan turning heel became one of the biggest thing ever and how much merchandise the NWO sold? Pretty sure Cena could make it happen.
@grape_nation4 жыл бұрын
Ricky Lyon They’ve been trying to turn Roman into that guy for a while now. Their latest scheme to make Roman the guy is to turn him into a badass heel and eventually turning him face again. I hope it works out for the guy tbh. So that Cena can be the villain we want him to be

I think with these guys that are successful in the WWE, you can tell the good ones, they put in the extra work, but then they also get into other things like movies or whatever.. I think a big thing with wrestling is selling it, but with a loud crowd you cannot exactly do it with speech, so it becomes more facial expressions.. the good ones that can sell that, are the ones that usually go into the movies.
@synergyrevolution23324 жыл бұрын
John Cena is also one that does it with a speech. There are segments in wrestling called promos which is basically when they let performers talk smack to each other to hype up their matches and John is one of the best at it. Also, a thing I think he gets that others don't is that WWE is about putting on a show, like a sitcom, not about doing fancy stuff in the ring. That's probably why he had the longevity he did as a performer on top because he made people want to watch him during every segment of the show.

He did well to say it in a non confrontational way. Phrasing it saying “you NEVER juiced?” Is subtly inferring Howard thinks he didn’t if pulled up on it and gives John the chance to agree that he’s never. Also says it as a passing question with no build up. Very clever
