In this episode I discuss the first "proper" stamp album I purchased as an 11 year old in 1982, and started to build my collection.

Well... you've inspired me to do my own KZbin channel!... don't know when it will happen and I have to buy equipment, I've decided to show my collection... this could take years! lol don't hold your breath. Kids have grown, now retired I can re-do my stamp collection. Originally born in Belgium, my parents immigrated to Australia back in 1966... This should be interesting!.. So I did enjoy your temporarily going back to childhood. lol (bit slow at the start - kind of teaser..I was saying ...ok... open it! lol)

In my real day-to-day life, I don't know any other philatelists, so it's been an amazing journey so far to discover how many people are still into the hobby. Every one I've interracted with has been positive, and the other content creators have made me feel welcome, it's all good, jump in and join us! Thanks for taking the time to comment, I do appeciate it!

I use my old spring back as a Machin reference stock book with mounted used examples showing paper differences and phosphor bands. It makes it easier to have sets of pages full of verified touch stones. It’s my living catalog. Thanks for the childhood memories. I kept all my old stock books as well. Can’t seem to let them go…..my old friends.

Oh as someone front the netherlands who collects the Netherlands, it’s pretty fun and fairly inexpensive compared to other countries to collect the stamps from here. My favorite issues are the older Summer stamps and the older Children’s stamps, I particularly enjoy the issues showing the coat of arms of the provinces.

The postage stamp at 7:56 (the one with what looks like SHQIPERIA written on it) is from Albania. It is on the correct page in your album. Just thought I would let you know.

Idea...if you want to replace the pages on the TRIDENT book you could replace them with either white or black stock hingeless pages. great vid

I believe the one you could not identify, starting on 30:36, is from Thailand. Takes me back to my adolescent years of stamp collecting in the 70s and 80s. Picked it up again in the late 90s and have been an avid collector since. Many thanks
