John's reaction was revealing not when he dropped his head in disbelief but when he immediately regrouped himself. He had a look of determination and confidence at that precise moment that I will never forget til this day. It truly motivates me whenever I face challenges in life. I followed the ball with John Daly and Jarmo Sandelin at the Scandinavian Masters, I think it was 1997. When JD was going to play on the first tee, he took an iron club because the first hole was a relatively short par 4. The spectators started to boo because of the club choice. He changed his mind and took out the driver. The spectators cheered.
