Nice job Craig performing a very thorough job and have the blower ready for the next blizzard

Haha, I still laugh at your comment during that blizzard... "is there no end to the madness"! Haha my wife and I got a chuckle out of that. Yes this can go home to my buddy, course he needs sunscreen now.. all our snow melted!

I've been chasing this same issue for awhile. Same grounded hot wire. Never noticed it, thanks!

I have the same blower same problem the shoot, I will troubleshoot as you did and I’ll follow up after I have done the inspection. Thanks

Definitely look at the wires underneath. This was my buddies blower. Not long after I fixed it the chute motor seized, water got in it. But first issue was those chaffed wires.

It's amazing the options they have on a snowblower . I have my old craftsman blower in lancaster ny that I use maybe 3 times a year. Too turn a crank to position my chute is so easy. Maybe they'll have air conditioning next. Ha ha!

LOL, these new blowers have a lot of gadgets. I think they need a battery on these things or a regulator or rectifier/diode. I had it running and was getting almost 18 volts at the lights. Probably why they burn out.. Thanks for checking it out!

could someone tell me the part number for the chute motor or a universal replacement for the motor? The previous owner of my blower had the motor fail and threw away the original motor. I also need to know what gear or gears I need to connect motor to the chute assymbly.

Did you watch the video? You could pause around 1:36 and catch a glimpse of the number.
@johnbbrose486 Жыл бұрын
@@CraigArndt I did see that number, didn't see anything on the gear/sprocket that connects motor to chute

Just like a newer car They add all this electrical automatic assisted DO DADS which is nice till it breaks🤓

It's all fun until a mouse or a sharp edge cuts into a wire.. then you lose the chute, heat and lights. Haha, I'm old school! Hand Cranks and thick gloves!

I've probably said it before, but my daughter is a Mountaineer, going back tomorrow :-( from winter break. But she loves it there in Morgantown.
