What was the model number for that new engine at small engine warehouse?

It was 386447-JD318-P-R3 for the Onan P series engine replacement in the 318. For the Onan G series you would need a different kit to ensure it works with different length drive shaft.

If it’s a p218 that means it’s 1987 or newer, 1983 to 1986 was a Onan B43g

This 318 is actually a 1988. I have said the wrong year.
