Hi my name is Paul & I’m Organic Dairy Farmer South Dakota. I farm with my younger brother & we milk 50 cows. We are a 4th generation family farm that farms 326 acres in which we raise corn, oats, alfalfa, soybeans plus we do rotational grazing with our milk cows.

My health has been a roller coaster but back into You Tube you guys help for getting threw my day. I started on a 4020 an a "B" model mack twin stick! To pull them liners you can make a puller out of threaded rod and two pieces of flat iron and nut, may need to tap the bottom of the sleeve to pop it loose with the puller pulling on the top! Had to do that to a case 1370 once to get them out!

If your fitting new liners heat them up with a Oxyge torch that does work have made pullers out of a flat plate with a hole and threded rod and a plate on top and wind a nut down the rod keep packing up the top plate as you wind it to

Hello Paul great video enjoyed it thankyou. 14000 hours can't complain. You can crack the sleeve makes it easy to remove. I'd put new pistons sleeves rings bearings the works in it. We actually took the cab off one time to replace the brakes and so some work on the rear axle 16 years ago.

I think so too. I wish I had checked the engine oil pressure before I tore the tractor apart. I’m going to also check out all the oil galleries by blowing compressed air through them.

Good catch on the piston problem. Now what caused it, ??????. One of those things that could of happened from the factory and never roared its ugly head.

I’m wondering if it had low oil pressure. It does have a low oil light pressure sensor on it. Basically when the oil pressure gets too low the light is supposed to turn on. I’m just wondering if that low Oil pressure indicator sensor was getting bad. I wish I had checked the engine oil pressure with a gauge before i tore the tractor apart but I kind of forgot about doing that. I’m thinking about just replacing the oil pump and I was also thinking about putting in a new oil indicator sensor.

Those are all great things to do and now would be the time to do it. But does the wallet have what is needed, lol. It only looked like it was on the one rod. Oil pump would be a great one to do now with it right there. Other then that, what I saw looked pretty good. Best of luck.
