Another Great Video, Warren. I really appreciate the rants and stories about guys that are no longer around. If I had your service truck I would use the crane for anything I could that would make the job easier. The shop I worked at years ago, had a forklift and a few overhead beams, but height was an issue. Your business, your customer. Do it how you want to. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

I got one story to tell you. I was in a bar at end of the day and there was a small Asian dude having a beer minding his own business and a Mike kind of guy and 2 of his friends had a problem with him and wouldn't let up on him. He finished his beer and he left, but the 3 guys followed him out. 5 minutes later one of three guys came back in with blood all over his face telling the bartender to call the cops as the little Asian dude beat the crap out of them. Nobody moved a muscle to help the three idiots. They eventually came in a lot worse for wear. I used to work with a guy like Mike. As long as you stayed on his good side, life was good. Great job and I look forward to part 2.

Informative documentation of a transmission disaster. You have to wonder if there were signs that they were having problems or internal failures or if it just catastrophically failed due to a pump failure or one disk failure. Did the customer mention they were having intermittent or sporadic problems or driveability with the tractor or did he just say boom goes the dynamite and it stopped

They cost 30 to 40 cents per pad so for around five dollars you could cover the entire area under your tractor and as the high spill areas get saturated you move the perimeter ares in towards the spill

Just spent today building a splitting stand. Got the base idea from your video of your stand. Only difference is i am using 2 sections of threaded rod for raise/lower because that’s cheaper than another bottle jack haha Other than that it looks pretty similar. Good patent sir.

I know those are a different beast but I just rebuilt the transmission in a 2755 without pulling the cab. After I had the engine split from the clutch housing I used my big semi transmissions jack to pull the the front half of the transmission out with the cab still attached to the rear end. It was tight but it worked.

Brake linings! I think the powershift has bronze and steel disks, so nothing to delaminate and get in the screen. Clutch pack might be gone because of low pressure but I’m betting the brakes started the cascade.

Yep Still, odds are brakes started the cascade. It takes some really clueless operators to keep going when the charge pump is whining like that. Usually though they figure it out when the hydraulics slow down, must have not been using the remotes or 3 point hitch lately. Pipe trailer doesn’t sound like it would require any. I sure would pop the finals off and do the brakes while you’re at it.
