So many memories from a jd 4240s -82 in sweden. I was a farmhand or helper and reely enjoying driving that tractor. There was 350 acre on that farm and lots of potatoes.

Sweet 4240! We have a 4230 it's the oldest tractor we have (1973). I look for excuses to drive that tractor. It just fits a lot of what we do. Look forward to seeing what all you're going to do it. I remember taking my boys along for trips to the implement store and coming home with trinkets. One time it was a Loadstar 1600 grain truck. I had a rough time explaining that one to my spousal unit. The boys said, "But Mom, it was a really good deal!" Are catching up on moisture? I hope so.

Maybe an easy to build pick up hitch and it will be more useful & not so much in the way . Use mine often with a 23ft trailer but mostly close work ie not the road miles that you have between fields .
@m.j.l.abulle91072 жыл бұрын
Can elaborate a bit more re the trailer & how it gets used for feeding 4 × 3 squares to cattle ---- the front headboard has access thru the centre & where the chassis rails are brought together to form the hitch , the top in that area has been covered in gridmesh & a removable 50 gal oil drum for twine . If the 4 ×3 bales are placed on edge it's very easy to feed several tons of hay / straw to cattle . It's wet here in the winter and we have hills . ~ ~
