I had a 71 PowerShift with a Full vision cab. Best starting diesel I've ever had. It would start at 11° without Ether or the block heater. Dyno'd 172. Wish I still had it. Put 20.8s on it. Love those 23° Bias Firestones.

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling hey man I completely understand! It’s a busy time of the year for most farmers. They’re wide open around here in peanuts and a few have already started in cotton.

I have hours of time logged in a 4620. I used to road one from Kent to Fort Dodge and back. The previous owner put a Chromed straight pipe on it. After years of double ear protection the boss finally put a real muffler back on it. Then it was down to one set of protection. I had an incident where coming north out of Cromwell the disc popped a hitch pin loose in road gear. It was wagging the dog by the hydraulic hoses. When I chopped the throttle, the disc tried to climb the back of the tractor. The ROPS system kept it out the cabin proper. Because the cabin was water damaged meant that I didnt break any glass . The only real damage was the Harrow section of the disc and the freshly rebuilt hydraulic remotes got the guts ripped out of them. And we had to strong arm the cabin back to something approximated straight so that the door fit again We back to strapping the hitch pin down again instead of spring clips

My uncle bought one with a 12 ' chisel plow in 1970 ,with an air conditionef cab cab . It was a big pig that over heated all the time in the summer as soon ss we worked it hard They rebuilt the motor about 3 to 4 times the 25 yrs they had it until they traded it in on a JD 4 whell dr 9200 . Us kids never thought much of it . If we eould of known John Kinsenoe had a dolution got yhat pig w,we would have kept trying to talk my uncle Roy into doing that ! Kinze Repower would have happened . 7:19 !

Thank you for asking.... I tried to tee in there - but there was no room ... so I tired to drill and tap that factory tee - to make like a 3 way connection .. sadly it didn't work ... just wasn't enough room .... about only way to do it- is to modify that hard line with a hose ...so it can be shortened - then you could split it off there ... I didn't want to modify the tractor - so I went with the 3rd scv plate instead ....

Deere sells a Power Beyond kit for any tractor uding the Flow control at the SCV. Leaves your tractor valves free. It was $220 in 2006. I just Googled Power beyond kit for 4620 and several came up at about the same price. They work slick and fit from a 1969 20 series to a 55 series.

Would 18.4-42's be an option? You'd have to find rims for it but it would sure look good if you could make that happen

A local guy had a 4520, powershift that sat on 18.4x42 rears. ..I remember drooling over that tractor as a kid ...lol.... as for this 4620, I'll likely stay 38s just to keep costs down....everyone seems to say put it on 20 8x38s .. thank you for watching!

I have put a couple of hours on that exact tractor it is a good solid tractor. That fan being froze up would explain why the a/c didn’t work very good. How did you like all the padding that was put into the tractor for sound? We unhooked that heater because we did not use that tractor in the winter and I would blow out hot air when you have the heat off

Personally, I would put the 20.8 tires on. Question, why are you going to put the old style tires on instead of some new firestone deep treads? In my opinion the deep treads would look badass on that tractor. Just curious on why you wanted to go the other route
