As strange as it may sound, videos like this really entertains me. I guess it’s because I learn something from them. Thank you for showing us this stuff!

If you fill the fuel filter before installing it then turn your key on for 1 minute you’ll have no issues when you start your tractor. Hope this helps.

The fuel filter setup on a 5E 3 cylinder is a PITA.

Man, it always sucks when the oil plug pops free and the initial splash sprays everywhere. Why don't we just use some sort of valve?

And I tell myself “nah it won’t happen” then it does. Every time.

Awesome content guys! I’m in the market for a JD 5075E and was wondering what you think of it? Horse and cattle farm in Southern MD. Any feedback on the tractor would be great. Thank you!

We love it! There are a couple of things we didn’t even know how spoiled we are until we checked out smaller, 30 hp range tractors. The hydrostatic makes it super easy when we’re running the bush hog or moving dirt with the bucket. The PTO is just a flick of the button. The cab is a lifesaver for us here in the summer. I’m guessing you’d see the same for winter. We’ve never actually turned the heat on. It’s plenty big and powerful enough for our modest farm size. The bucket is super easy to change out with forks. I have not handled round bales with it as we don’t use them. Hope this helps! This is exactly why we started this channel

@@yellowdogfarm awesome. Thanks for the helpful response. I think it’s about the right size for us here. We have about 75 acres and are doing horses and mother cows. I might do the open station cab but not sure yet.

What is the fuel filter part number? I need that same one and I can find every PN for other filters but not this one.

Joshua if you go into the dealer they'll print you a filter overview with service intervals. It has every filter with its part number listed. I will post mine on our Facebook page, Yellow Dog Farm LLC. My part number is R536698. If your tractor is Tier 2 or iT4 it has a different part number.

Thanks for checking out the video. Hope it was helpful.

Video was helpful. My fuel did come gushing out the filter housing though. I used a set of needle nose vise grips to pinch the rubber hose coming into the filter housing and that worked perfect. Everything else changed out no problem.

What part of servicing your tractor makes you crazy?

I had the same issues getting the fuel filter off. Mine is the same tractor. I did my service way early though, because for some reason the filter was all rusty and was leaking fuel. Seems like a warranty-able issue, but JD said no.
