Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

You’re one of those kids that showed up at the DMV in some gigantic machine. They didn’t even make you take the test because you were able to get there in that godawful contraption :)

Crossing your lateral chains gives you a better angle to avoid the load shifting sideways, assuming there are pickup points which allow it. Everyone knows that fore and aft chains need to oppose each other, but so do the lateral ones, and if you don't cross them, the angles are not nearly so acute. I used to haul flatbed overdimensional, and respect the dickens for how you and your company does its job. Hang in there.

Another great video as usual Also I've got a question for you.....? I know this doesn't really pertain to this video but you did mention unloading the buses so what did yall ever decide with that trailer that yall were looking at in Vegas for hauling the buses and equipment and things of that nature...... was just kind of curious bc you had mentioned it and haven't heard anything more about it since then

Man, one thing I hate doing is being overwidth. Rollin with those weights hanging off each side makes me nervous just watching you! Especially considering how much worse drivers are NOW as opposed to when I started driving.

Couple of quick questions: 1. Could you give a rough estimate to what this 8520T weighed? 2. The chains you were using were they 3/8 G70 chains?

Likely not 5/16 inch chain. 3/8 would do it

Ok question why do you keep the deck lowered then tie the equipment then raise the deck im not understanding that step but keep up the good videos i learn alot from watching your videos

I'd imagine it's a safety measure to prevent the load from shifting forward or backwards in case of a possible parking brake failure or transmission slipping into neutral while raising the deck.

wild racer 88 I keep my deck down when doing most of the securing because it’s easier to get at all the good tie off spots. Just my opinion

I’ve never seen anyone do chains like you do, is there a reason you do the 2 points on the deck as opposed to just straight front the unit to one point?
