Thanks for the tips fuel pump added because of diesel in oil which solved that issue I’ll check on the others suggestions

Had a tractor out around some horse barns that kept running out of fuel. Blew air back to the tank and it was fine until the next time. Pulled the tank and found some big horse flies in the tank, blocking the suction port. Odd failure, but just because you got the line cleared out, that doesn't mean the problem is fixed.

It's first thing to start with but later on you might need to do more diagnosis for air leaks, low fuel pressure issues ect..

The fuel pump primer on front of engine has a gromet on the line sometimes sucks air there. Even when we changed them out our line was still lose.

Hey Bill. Oh, that happen to me. When I change rubber grommets, always use new ones OEM, after everything assembled I don't touch them.

Why does 3020 diesel tractor not run with return line tighten down at the pump if diesel is dripping out of return line tractor gets full rpms power and runs fine, fuel seems to be dripping out back in tank though return line with no restriction

I would check vent at the tank first. Also it be low lift pump pressure to injection pump. Check if Banjo Bolt Fittings have screen filter inside at return and down below. Replace old return back to pump with line clear tubing, over time lines deteriorate. What repairs or maintenance was done on tractor recently?

Sounds to me like injectors are smoked or old fuel. Or air leak in feed line

Hey Steve! Next time when JCB will act up, turn it off then remove primary filter - most likely it will be almost empty. Seems like fuel starvation issue. Btw, do you have any other issues or DTCs (codes) stored? Let me know.

Locate fuel line banjo bolt fittings at the lift pump or primary filter, sometimes they have plastic screens inside. Overtime screen filter inside banjo bolt get clogged up. I seen it so many time on different machines.
