Did you consider putting the flat washers and needle bearings on the spindle ?

It would make for smoother operation, but as long as you keep these greased they do pretty well. Most of the failures are caused my lack of grease.

I have you beat! My riding lawn mower is from 1995 Craftsman 4 wheel turn. It works, the plastic hood leaves something to be desired. We put tubes in the back tires. I have to fill the front. I'll need a new battery. If I don't shift into neutral just right at stop the drive belt falls off and I'm reaching in to put it back on! LOL

That is funny, looks like I am not the only one who using them until they drop. LOL My John deere only drives one rear wheel, it was horrible on hills, I filled the rear tires up with windshield washing fluid, now there is not a hill I can not climb. It worked like a charm. : )

I see the left wheel's bearing seemed loose and came out when you put the left tire on. Did you tighten the hole for it to fit better? It was hard to see in regular speed so I slowed it down some. Good video. Thank you.

Glad you liked the video. If I remember right, it had several washers included. I just put them in until there was no side to side play. Then I put the C-clip to hold it all together. It has worked fine. Hope that helps.

If I remember right, I think I just put it on the muffler guard. It is not very heavy in the front. Glad the video helped : )

My goodness you would throw together a mid drive kit in about an hour you’ll be out riding a bike. Do you know your way around tools. Good job.

Thanks, it comes from being poor. I am too cheap to pay anyone else, so I had to learn myself. It works in most mechanical things. My biggest failure was when I decided to shear my sheep myself. I only made it through the first one, I still feel sorry for that poor sheep LOL
