Try using PB Blaster on those bolts. My old building had 1/2 inch bolts on clips that were attached to the girts and they came right out plus I used impact tool. They had been there for 40 years.

What caused all the rust? I don’t think it was driven in the salt and snow??? I have one I purchased in 1986, I have nothing like that at all.

They left it outside for a long time and they bought it used so who knows what happened before they had it. They never plowed snow with it.
