Great video, thank you Ray! I was hoping you'd show us greasing the fittings at the end

Jay, I am missing a part from the bagger on this, are you able to show how the bagger attaches to the mower? So I could identify which part I am missing?

I just replaced my mower belt. When I engage the belt there is some slipping of the belt. I didn’t have that on the old belt and that’s surprising because it was in terrible condition. If I lengthen the rod by unthreading the pin that is on the engagement rod will that increase tension on the belt?
@RayofallTrades2 жыл бұрын
Was it an oem belt? If not you might have to adjust out the slack
@grampaject57 Жыл бұрын
Yes it is an OEM belt from the local JD dealer. Your answer did not tell me anything. I agree that the slack needs to be taken up on the new belt. My question was if I loosen the lock nut on the PTO engagement rod and turn the adjustment pin so that the PTO rod is in effect lengthened, will this put more tension on the mower belt. I’m assuming yes. I’m looking at page 470 of the John Deere service manual for part names.

Where did you get the grass bag attachment? I have the same mower and have been mulching this whole time.

I have an 04’ LT150. 38”. Only 109 hours. It back fires every time I turn it of. If I do not idle it for several minutes before I turn it off, it will “diesel” when I kill the switch. It eventually dies, but not with out a major back fire. I have searched all over the interwebbs for an answer. 3 mechanics. And tinkered on it my self. Any info would be delighted.

It's the solenoid on the bottom of the carb. Either someone cut it or it's stuck open

@@huntwright8731 gotcha. Ok it's running rich or valves are out of adjustment. 1 spark plug or 2? Usually from unburned fuel reaching the hot muffler from incomplete combustion. What motor is on it?

@@huntwright8731 copy. Hydraulic lifters should mean valve clearance ok. Is oil correct weight? Too thin/thick messes with lifters. Very dirty oil also. Most people are saying coil but I would test it before buying with a tester. Here's a good read: www.mytractorforum.com/threads/kohler-15-5hp-cv15s-misfire-and-blowing-flame-out-carburetor.627593/
