Cant wait to see how this old tractor comes back to life after you get done with it!

Since changing the carburetor I have started it three times and it fired right up every time Still a lot of other systems to work on on the tractor but it’s nice that it starts so easy compared to other videos I’ve watched on trying to get these things started

Great little tractor! Just remember to run it enough to agitate the tranny oil before you drain it. You want to suspend as much of the gunk as possible in the fluid before you drain it. Watching this makes me want to get me an old tractor! I may need to build an equipment shed...

Thanks for the tip. I know you should do that with oil changes but I probably wouldn’t of thought of it on the transmission Not the most practical purchase ever but it’s fun. Since changing the carburetor it fires up right away every time

Good job - that tractor looks like it's got really good potential. I think originally it would have come with 11.2x38s on the rear, but many people like 12.4x38 or 13.6x38 on an A; looks like maybe those are one of the latter. The front wheels appear not stock, so those are kind of interesting. Looking forward to more.

It has 13.6 x 38 on it currently I’ve just started looking at prices for tires. They certainly aren’t cheap. maybe I’ll have better luck with the 11.2-38 Thanks for watching and for sharing the info

I watched some of your Model A videos before but I didn’t realize until just now that you also have a 1025

After you installed carburetor, I didn’t notice you servicing oil bath air cleaner. I thought A had one. If so that would be important for final carb adjustment. Impressed carb needed no adjustment out of box. Enjoy this old work horse, thanks for sharing.

I just read how those oil bath filters work and that’s part of my next service Thanks for watching

i was gonna remind him to change that oil also-i hope he drained the motor oil again too with all that gas that ran into the motor. sounds to me like its half missing some. my pap had a A just like his, was a work horse, but drank gas like nothing else.

Those tractors are a lot of fun to mess around with kind of expensive. On the transmission it takes 85w to 140w gear oil amount of fluid 2 gallons 1/2 there will be a check plug. Just like the engine oil. You're on the right track sounds like you got a book. That's a good thing. The rear tries will be kind of expensive in it 400.oo to 530.oo

So is there an after market or universal Carburetor for a 71 john deere 3020 gas, cause the zenith carb is like a $1,100 bucks? It's still used on the farm not looking for stock as long as it works.
