John deere tractor blows starter fuse quick fix. Cold start sensor blows ignition fuse when turn key

also john deere models 5045 5420 5520 5525 5050 5065E, 5075e, E160 jd
This fix works on John Deere 5093-E tractors too
the cold start sensor causes the F1 fuse to blow, unplug this sensor to (temporary) fix the issue.
these sensors are just made poorly and tend to fail.
you can run the tractor by unplugging the faulty sensor.
do not overtighten the replacement sensor just hand tighten is good.

I just wished John Deere would have a recall on this piece of junk switch...I have only five hundred hours on my John Deere 5055E tractor and there's no excuse for John Deere to knowingly install these defective parts on a tractor that is supposed to run like a deer...

This fix works on John Deere 5093-E tractors too. I couldn't get mine to start earlier today & I was quite certain that the key switch itself was shot. For once it's nice to be wrong.

I have the same problem with 5075E and unplugging the sensor didn't help. Any recommendations?

I did this on a 5065E. Unplug it with a new fuse it still blows the fuse. Any thoughts on why it's still blowing the fuse? Bad stater?

sorry i cant help, for my tractor this fixed the issue. however does it blow the fuse once you start and turn the key to run the starter? it could be many things,,, like bad wiring
