Hi guys, that's right, tug of war between the Gator and the RVT, what do you think happened? Really enjoyed the Garden Tractor Pulls, the antique tractor pulls, and just being outside with family, had a great time with Brother Matt. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

Kubota's are just work horse's I have had one since 06 and have beat the shit out of it building fence and hauling sandbags in 08 they are no speed machine but they can take the abuse I think I have only spent around 1500 bucks on repairs on mine and it has around 6700 hrs on it

Michael Mac Tavish I have a .50 hp kubota and it’s about half the tractor my other Deere is that’s 42hp. Parts are a pain to get from kubota. Kubota announced putting their money towards India/Africa so I’ll never buy their crap. It’s no wonder kubota resale is half of a Deere.

Andy, remember what they say.."Nothing runs like a Deere, when it is chased by a Kubota". Love it, only have a small 27hp Kubota for blowing snow and hauling logs. Deere a great option, we just didn't have a good dealer near us. Thanks for your videos

I love the old JD’s. I saw recently that the new leadership of John Deere pledged $1M to the NAACP. I won’t be supporting JD until their leadership changes. If they looked at what the NAACP actually supports and puts out in their propaganda and still decided to give that money, I got no use for them.

Kubota got it wrong. The XG850 CVT clutch doesn't shift down when you stop quickly resulting in ($270) belt squeal, jerky starts and belt burn in soft snow or mud. Also, the 4X4 clashes gears after delayed disengagement. Kubota dealership calls it "driveline wrap" which is still a problem, only less serious than he actual problem. They won't honor their warranty by denying that these problems exist. Company reps. will not inspect these problems if owner is anywhere on the dealership property. I build 2000hp airplane engines for a living and verified the problems before requesting warranty repairs. Additionally, they use expensive proprietary oil for the rear differential (not available in stores). Kubota buys up rights to affordable aftermarket products and then sells them at inflated prices. OEM replacement parts arrive with "made in China" labels. Anyone know a good warranty lawyer or want to join a class action?

Is your gator a diesel Andy? Them Kabota‘s got some pretty good weight to them I got a 2019 Deere diesel with a cab it’s a lot heavier

Not a diesel. Last year I drug him backwards but we were in sod, this year on the pulling track, he pulled me. Its all fun in the end. I love the Gator, yes the shifter and the parking brake sucks but I like it anyway. Handy for me.

I love RTVS and Gators but hands down the RTV will out pull any other UTV. They are super reliable and don’t really care what they are pushing, pulling or hauling.

Kubota is hydrostatic.... no clutch or belts ... no comparison... I drag huge pine trees up hills at 8000 ft. Elevation best work horse hands down!

The hydrostatic drive on the Kubota RTV makes like work of the JD Gator. I've got a 855 D Gator that we use in and around the chicken houses with about 4000 hours. It smokes a little when you first start it but it goes 7 day per week.

When I saw the heavy studded tires on the deere I expected to see the kubota with skimpy turf tires get dragged around the field. That was a surprise when the deere tires just spun while the kubota dragged it around.

I loved the pull! Our local uses people on a sled to do our old timer tractor pulls, and you can volunteer to be a weight to jump on as it passes you.

Neighbor had a John Deere 45 with a 12 ft grain head but I’ve never seen a 45EB. Is it a little newer than a straight 45? His looked similar to that one if I’m remembering right but that’s been over 30 years ago so I might be remembering wrong

My Grandfather's first tractor was a '37 Oliver 70 that he bought new. We had that it until my Dad sold it around 1978. I think it still ran but it needed a lot of work. That was neat to see one again!!! Too bad your Gator didn't pull that Kubota around the track!

The Kubota RTV had turf tires but had more weight, diesel torque and a hydro transmission going for it. The John Deere has higher HP and green paint but belt drive

The first tractor I ever drove was a Farmall 400, I now own a Farmall 300 just like the one you showed, except mine is not quite as cherry. Beautiful tractor for sure!! Loved the pulling footage!!!!

Andy it was the tires that you have on your JD they like for rocky places and something to that effect. In layman's terms they are rounded not much traction in soft soil.

This is where an RTV excels with hydraulic 3 speed drive vs a rubber belt driven torque converter. I own an RTV because of the hills on my property and needing to a pull heavy trailer. But at 24mph max speed you ain't getting anywhere fast like a Gator.

Looks like the Kubota had the tow point a little higher which would give a slight advantage when pulling. The Kubota was probably a little heavier than the deere as well.
