In 1975 in 1975 I was in noise home in St Joseph Missouri and John Denver came there and sang those kids and they told us he wasn't John Denver even though we all knew he was it broke something in me the bad side of me I knew there was God after he was there and had I got to say touch my life the dude was really who he was I'm 51 now I remember that experience like it was yesterday I still touches my heart God bless

this is so classic john denver sounds. and it's funny in the video he said he started tried almost 5 years to write it but it wouldn't come. which is part of the creative process things just can't be rushed. but it has so much meaning, and today with things in the world today. it almost gives me shivers thinking that someone else wanted it written as well! this world needs healing so many tragic things happened. i always wondered how he would feel about things that happened today again this song gives me shivers, almost like the Wings that fly us home. same thing it gives you something to think about. peace to everyone!!!

I started crying because this song is another beautiful one and boy do we need healing during these dark times and he talks of home and he did go home! He’s with our maker, it’s just too much to think of losing him, breaks my heart. He was a talented songwriter and singer. He deserved so much more than he got. I’m just grateful I grew up in the era where I got to hear his songs often. I can’t believe it’s been 23 years since the senseless tragedy that took him from us, oh John John John, we sure could use someone like you here with us now.....you are so missed and loved all these years later. I play all your songs and reminisce of wonderful times past, I smile, I cry, I remember you.... Heaven is sure blest to have you there.
