I've always loved John Denver, he's my all time favorite singer/songwriter. I hope he is sheltered in the Lord's arms. Many of his songs are about his spiritual searching and the condition of the world. I hope he found the Truth.

What a beautiful video! I've never seen it before. This has always been one of my favourite JD songs. The message is inspirational but I never saw it quite the way the video portrays it. Thanks for posting this.

Holy CRAP, I haven't seen this in years! My father directed this video, and I was slated to be one of the kids until I had a bicycle accident that put a huge scab on my face. The ruined house where the kids are digging was, I believe, in Silverado Canyon not far from where I live in Irvine.

Wow. What an amazing video. He just got better with age. Like a fine wine! Love the jacket and beautful guitar. This is the same outfit he wore in the photo on the jacket of his autobiography, "Take Me Home". That photo must have been taken on the same day this video was made. Fabulous.

I think John is making reference to the verse in the bible where it says God is the potter and we are the clay.....he sings...think how God must feel as you're spinning the clay and shaping your design...that's how God is with us, shaping and molding each one of us into a beautiful and perfect design.:-)

One of his best songs. I believe the segment of JD walking around the chimney was filmed at the BBQ pit in the backyard of his Aspen home.

This is from the LP. The slight drag (warble?) at the beginning I cannot find on different recordings.

It sucks to be part of a generation that listens to 99 percent mindless music. Hardly any deep stuff is written and sold any more.
