John had a hugely successful career in his native Australia. He is adored there as he is across the pond in New Zealand. His concerts in the 80' - 90's got bigger played to arena sized crowds often with a stonking awesome band of musicians. I am 51 and love this particular concert. Pressure Down is a favourite. My mother loved his music and had albums of his when I was a teenager. I love his music too. Mum died in 2023 and is deeply missed.

@@sgtleska oh, you're so welcome. I have to tell you there are many singers I really like, but wouldn't necessarily want to buy all of their songs. But John Farnham? Oh, all his songs are exquisite, so much emotion. I didn't really discover him until about a year ago - ( had a busy life, then children in the 80s, so was busy family life onwards) . Always knew of You're the Voice but never knew who sang it until then. Since then I've been glued to his concert videos on youtube on a daily basis. My daughter found a new cd, Greatest Hits, (possibly the last new cd in the UK?). I hope I'm getting the latest documentary Finding the Voice for Christmas, and this week I went into a secondhand record shop and the owner fished out a cd - Farnham.... Then Again....in perfect condition - no indication at all that it had ever been played or even opened I am in awe of his talent, and his personality. Such perfection that I can often tear up, I just love everything he sings, he takes me to a very happy place, and I hope my 10 month old granddaughter is going to grow up with his uptempo version of Old Macdonald had a farm! To all you lovely Farnsy fans who have ever been to his concerts - I'm turning green with envy! Happy Christmas, and happy life to you all. And to John - just keep healing. If another "retirement" performance is a possibility........we're all fingers crossed. 15.12.23. UK. E♥️ PS. I feel so lucky to have been born right before Whispering Jack was released and John's career finally started getting the respect it deserved. In his recent autobiography, he actually mentions recording it at his home on Manningham Rd Bulleen here in Melbourne - which means when I was born, my parents and I lived *right around the corner* from where one of the top albums of all of Australian music was being recorded.
