Mike I was nearly crying when you were talking about John. Once you started crying so did I. We WILL continue to hear John singing via KZbin, local TV shows, funny interviews on KZbin, the records, CDs and videos we’ve bought here in Aus for 50 years. He will never sing publicly, but how blessed are we to have had 50 years of John’s music, fun, laughter on stage. All we want for John is now time to be with his wife Jill and his sons. No more touring - that’s ok. It’s now family time and recuperation. He gave us the best of himself, now sadly through adversity, after hospital 💗it’s home time with his family 💗

@@michellebostock3134 exactly, a huge amount, we’ll be mega old and we’d still never get through watching and listening to everything he’s done. I watched a great KZbin vid today, 1 & half hours, about John’s first 25 years. Oh he looks about 13 lol when he first sang Sadie, much younger than he was, just so cute.

Thank you Mike for all you do and I hope you get to 2 million subscribers, as I said in previous messages in some of your video's, you are an honorary Aussie and rightly so. Mike, please don't hide your tears as it shows that you have a huge heart mate.

Awww sweetheart, I teared up with you, and never been ashamed of showing your emotions, that is what makes us love you more. Even though the quality is not the best you can see how much John loves to perform. I got to see John in late 2019, a bucket list event for me, he was brilliant, and his voice was awesome. I am praying he has a fast recovery❤️❤️❤️

Our dear John , australia let out a weep for our wonderful John. His wife Jill and kids need the support and privacy . Australians will honour and love him so much and if love alone can push us to survive , then he will. I had cancer in the submandibular and parotid gland . I lost my lower jaw and my teeth. I went through yrs of chemo and radiotherapy . John will have the best of care and although I had wonderful doctors as a public patient repairing my jaw was to expensive . I feel his pain and the long recovery but if I can do it he will get through this . Thank you Mike . Love and hugs

Thank you mate for the kind words & thoughts for an Aussie legend as I've said before he is loved just as much across the ditch in New Zealand. It was sad enough hearing John's long time friend and manager Glenn Wheatley had passed, then of course the beautiful, talented Olivia Newton-John passing away., another icon close to NZ's hearts. They were two people he was so close to it must of been devastating for him, then to get the horrible news himself just so sad. It's ok to cry and to show that emotion there is NO shame but on a positive note John, from what is out there, is doing alright and we hope he stays with us for years to come. Yes I agree with you he has given us so much through his music, his iconic, unique voice and also the charity work he did for Australia when needed. Just a wonderful, genuine great bloke he's provided us with 50 years of albums, so many songs, live performances that he is the king of and the comedy as well. John Farnham doesn't need to give us any more being in my opinion the best entertainer ever and we thank him for all the years of awesome entertainment he's given us.

Im an American too. The level of talent coming out of Australia is astounding. In my 40s now and so many of my childhood heroes are from Australia. We still have Barry but the rest of the Bee Gees and Andy are gone. Olivia is gone. Im sad about John. He is very charismatic. Im glad Kylie Minogue pulled through. Im a rarity here in the Usa cause i know way more of her great music than cant get you out of my head and locomotion. She has so so many great songs they never played here. God bless Australia. Also i love watching there news here on youtube. They are funny and report facts

I'm an Aussie about same age as John always been a huge fan but coming across all these singer reactions from OS has given me a new appreciation for his great talent which is really showcased in his live performances made so brilliant I feel by John's character which seems to make everyone on the stage with him gell together so brilliantly , He's the front man and the grat talent but it seems everyone there with him is made to feel equal and that just oozes through the performances I feel . One of a kind John Farnham , never get tired of watching his legendry performances .Thankyou John Farnham

Thank you Mike, you become an Aussie through your heart. It sounds like you know that. If you want my choice for one of John's finest songs is his final night in Sydney's "Jesus Christ Superstar" singing Gethsemane. John as Jesus in conversation with God regarding his crucifixion. It is heart rending, powerful & emotional. Even if only for yourself, make sure that you hear it. I saw that production twice, including that last night. I also saw other productions over the years and noone sings Gethsemane like John does. Thank you for your kind words & friendship.

Just to add another one, earlier this week I heard the news that Margaret Urlich, who sang on 'The Horses' with Daryl Braithwaite, passed away from cancer. When I heard that I thought, 'who's next, John Farnham?'. Then within 12 hours I heard the news of his hospitalisation with cancer 😢. Margaret Urlich was a wonderful singer I had seen live way back in the 1990's. John Farnham,.I was lucky to see a total of 6 times in concert, the first being in 1987.

Really I don’t think John was going to perform again anyway after the death of Glenn Wheatley. Glenn and John were joined at the hip. They were best mates and John was absolutely devastated when Glenn died. John has had part of his jaw removed, major surgery. Reality would tell us that he won’t perform any more. Be grateful for music we have. We all love him so much and we’re fighting this fight with him. Jill said they’re blown away with all the love and best wishes.❤️❤️❤️

Mike I remember your first John Farnham reaction and I cringed. But when I saw it, I had to accept a different opinion esp when I can be so defensive of my 'heros'. But you were so gracious, thoughtful in your next reaction to the live version. In fairness, how could you possibly comprehend or understand the "You're The Voice" video, who acted in it or anything about John. It was a very honest reaction. Just a shame you were subjected to many of the comments. But you're the bigger man, a decent human being and a all 'round good bloke. Dear Mike, we all love John so much, he will be fine, it just will take a lot of time. His Jilly takes good care of him also, she's his rock. Glad she insisted that John went to see the doctor. She might have saved his life because it's probably in an early stage. He has so much love around him, even from a long distance all across the world, not just Australia. Love your reaction , you show you feel and that's real, and ofcourse we all are worried because cancer Sucks, but we all send him good vibes and a lot of love, and postcards also. So you can also send a postcard or something if you like. I have the adress, if you like, where you can send a card or letter and it will be passed on to John. ❤ for you.
