When you watch anything from John. The one thing he always does. Is share the spotlight with his team. Weather it’s one of his back up singers or one of the band members. Every song that he sings. There will always be a segment for one of the musicians. It’s great because we the fans get to hear these wonderful instruments that help make all these wonderful songs more beautiful. His generosity to his team is why he has had them almost from the start of his career. Respect given is respect returned.

Venetta has a truly beautiful voice as does Lindsay and we know this because John often puts them up there centre stage to showcase how great they are. He even sings backup vocals for them on their records. And even though John is one of the best voices ever on his own .....these guys just make him look and sound better as well. And just look at that proud mumma look that Venetta gives John when he hits that note at the beginning. Such a powerful enduring friendship they have. Definately a 2 thumbs up performance

Roscoe, John has never thought he was better than anyone, anywhere. Venetta is big part of our family and John often did feature songs with his backup singers. He appreciated their gifts and wanted them heard. The same way he always thanked his musicians and made sure they had solos so they could shine. We didn’t just love John or who he is, we loved them all and they love John. Thank you.

Lindsay said in an interview on camera that John, wife Jill and friend Gaynor Wheatley had dinner with him and his partner at their house not long before he heard of John's diagnosis and operation. He was stunned as we all were and still are. May amazing grace be with John and his family during his time of healing. John always displays his appreciation and how much he values his backing singers and musicians .Love to John.

Venetta retired to the Gold Coast in Queensland as far as I know and was teaching singing. She is amazing as is Lindsay.

John’s always surrounded himself with very the best musicians and singers and he’s very generous. He always refers to them as his friends. I believe Venetta was in A Star is Born with Barbra Streisand. She is amazing and a really gorgeous lady. She retired a few years back.

Back up singers are as good as it gets. I think Venetta Fields and Renee Geyer were back up singers when Cold Chisel did their Last Stand concert tours in 1983. When you can have back up singers this awesome, it just crazy.

What a thrilling performance....goosebumps and tears again lol. This is John's family....that's what you see every show...He loves them all and they love him. Seeing John was soaked in sweat it was probably near the end of the show...still sounding amazing...Venetta was a well known singer in the USA before she moved to Australia. I would have to research it but I think she was backup vocalist for Tina Turner and I think Whitney...but will check... Thanks for reacting to this one Roskoe...great comments too. 💖 I hope during his convalescence John see's some of these 'reactions' and the high regard he is held.

Hi Roskoe! That’s just what John does! He is just an AMAZING person and I have been praying for him! I think Venetta is originally from U.S. and came out here! I don’t know if she is living here now! Her voice is STUNNING! Thank you SO much for reacting to this Roskoe! It’s one of my favourites! This song always makes me tear up because we sang it at my mum’s funeral! It’s a beautiful hymn! His backing singers stayed with him for ages, especially considering they both could've fronted their own bands. Probably had a bit to do with John being a good down to earth straight Aussie boy as well, who wouldn't treat you like a lesser and was a clean living Christian man
