I love Miss Venetta and she looks up at John like a proud Mama. I love Lindsay too and Lisa and Charles. All were John’s backup singers but all were talented in their own right. They stayed with John until they retired because he made everyone family and he let them shine. Thank you.❤

Venetta became an original member of the Ikettes of Ike & Tina Turner fame in 1961 and was a backup vocalist for 5 years. She has worked with Diana Ross, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler, Burt Bacharach, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Humble Pie, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Bob Seger, Joe Cocker, Rolling Stones and many more. Pink Floyd fans would know Venetta from her backing vocals on the 1973 Dark Side Of The Moon tour and the Floyd’s French tour in 1974. In 1975 Venetta did the backing vocals on the Wish You Were Here album. She emigrated to Australia in 1982 and performed as a backup singer for John Farnham for manty years along with the equally brilliant Lisa Edwards and Lindsay Field. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
