Every time he starts tightening the microphone stand you know he is going to throw it and then pick it up with his foot. I can watch and listen to this song every day. I love seeing people listening to it for the first time. Thanks for reacting to it.

As an Australian I am so glad you listened - he is dear to my heart and to so many Australians. I do not know if you are aware of the events currently. The cruelty of singing clearly his 'calling' , his passion to sing. And now having a tumour in his jaw an having it removed and the rehab it takes to learn to eat and talk - His family is his first love- but possibly not ever being able to sing again - his voice is THE VOICE, And he is a totally lovely man. x

An unofficial Aussie anthem, but then this can be said for a few of our songs!! While sounding quintessentially ‘80s, the song’s lyrics give it a timelessness, it seems relevant no matter what decade it is sung. Get well Farnsey!

Been listening to Johns music for 50 years, This concert was fantastic John gives a hundred percent, His live performances are always great, John always gets involved with the audience, Whenever I’m feeling down I just listen to Johns songs and I’m feeling great. He has a way of lifting you up 😊

To see the strength of his voice, listen to his version of the Beatles classic song Help; this is an encore performance at the end of a 2hr concert. Talk about a powerhouse. The rapour he has with his audience, is the reason he is so loved by his fans; a true gentleman and consummate entertainer.

You should also listen to his version of "Help" from the Beatles at the same concert. It is really mind-blowing powerful and he sang it as an encore after a 2 hours show.

So glad you weren't disappointed, it is a great song and an amazing performance. The studio version is great obviously, but this is better I think, as is the case with every song he sings, and I'm one of those annoying people who usually always prefer studio versions, lol. ❤

I'd love to see your reaction to John Farnham, Kate Ceberano and Jon Stevens (and cast!) on Hey, Hey It's Saturday round "It's Alright" from the Jesus Christ Superstar music. Three Australian vocal powerhouses. They even give you a bonus song at the end! I saw them perform live at 8 and I've loved it ever since.

I didn't know until I watched another reaction to this song that it was in the riot scene of a movie called Hot Rod and GTA. I think wearing earphones could improve the whole experience

Robbie Williams sang this song in front of a football (Aussie Rules) Grand Final crowd of 100,00 and they sang along. He dedicated it to John and has a touching piece in the middle. I think I've been saying Farnham correctly. I say Farn-em. Melbourne, however, I guess I'm not saying right. Here in the states, every time I've ever heard it, it was always pronounced Mel-born or Mel-burn
