Flea is obviously the secret sauce of the Chili Peppers. He's been there the whole time, played on every album and without him the Chili Peppers would not be the Chili Peppers, while they have had a number of guitarists who all did a decent job.
@luceatlux70872 жыл бұрын
@@judahspindler6170 I disagree. All the best albums have Frusciante... and I love Flea and Hillel... Even starting from Blood Sugar... tag every subsequent record with a score and John's almbums usually get 10/10s. The rest are a mixed bag... such as One Hot Minute: 5/10 once John left, the new albums: 3/10. I was a die hard RCHP fan and I have just kinda' naturally (not on purpose) stopped checking their new stuff out. it just isn't that good (ie: Rain Dance Maggie)
@judahspindler61702 жыл бұрын
@@luceatlux7087 Agree to disagree, then. The Chili Peppers have always been about funky basslines, it doesn't matter who the guitar player is. When you hear Flea slapping away on a music man, you know who it is.

I always forget the lyrics to this song, but then I remember ''Hey! This song has no lyrics!''. Must be because even without words, John Frusciante manages to provoke thoughts, emotions. A mute ascension into divinity.

@calenkinney10912 жыл бұрын
He took that specific album off of the market for that very reason. John is very clean and has found spirituality through his music after a long battle of drug addiction. It is true that a lot of John's music was induced by drugs but he doesnt need drugs to be, as you say, "John Frusciante". He was sober during Stadium Arcadium which is, in my opinion, some of John's most beautiful music.

I don't mind that he has a small crowd along his solo work, it gets more personal and a bigger feeling to it when the few of us that like his music comment about how we feel when we listen to it and all. Instead of overrated populare "music" where people only comments on their looks, the half naked girls in the music videos and stuff like that. I'm glad that people like John and his fans excist, people that care to put their time and energy into this type of music

*huge John Frusciante fan speaking* I wonder why this sing out of all his others during this era of John got the most popularity. To me it just sounds like one of his other songs in his creative spree... A melody that was composed in his head, written down, and played. Also, it was one of the only songs of his that was played on the radio. Perhaps that was a factor to its outlierish success.

steelyfanz675 I think that maybe it was the fact that this was one of his early forays into drum machines? Nowdays when he programs drum machines, he can hardly let them play one beat before violently altering the drum machine again. People like simple stuff.
