The Firm (Tom Cruise), The Pelican Brief (Julia Roberts), The Rainmaker (Matt Damon) are all gripping films and worthy adaptations of their respective books penned by America’s foremost living writer-John Grisham! His overall body of literary works compare favorably with Hemingway’s and Samuel Clements’ (Mark Twain’s)!

Totally agree with his assessment of the films. The Rainmaker and A Time to Kill were the best adapted films from his books. The Chamber was horrible (outside of Gene Hackman).

#JohnGrisham stories have a lot of great humour in them. Read Rainmaker first, and then just about every book he wrote prior to 2000, Read #TheBrethren shortly before 9/11, and remember thinking this man is either psychic or a whistlblower to have predicted such an this event.
