I LOVE SUPERTRAMP AND THE GENIUS ROGER HODGSON THE CO-FOUNDATOR. YOU SHOULD GO TO SEE HIM IN CONCERT .

I met John in Kendalls in Manchester a number of years ago. A very nice unassuming man and I was most surprised when he told me he was very seldom recognised in public. They were playing Liverpool shortly after but sadly I was not able to make that gig.

Músico da melhor qualidade, ser humano fantástico. Aliás ele e o Roger eram a alma da banda únicos com bom humor e de sorriso no rosto dando ao público um tom de humanidade na secura do restante. Além de talentos natos e insubstituíveis, claro.

3 - The Supertramp songs that were composed by Roger Hodgson performed by their author (Roger Hodgson) on the other hand, are magical, unique! (I had the grace of experiencing that 3 times). Why is that so? Because Roger Hodgson cannot be replaced. It’s not a matter of high-pitched voice, it’s a matter of Roger’s soul, which cannot be replaced - Roger’s soul is what makes all the difference. Best regards, Fernanda

Loved supertramp. Roger was great, but I fell squarely in the Rick Davies camp of supertramp. His songs had a little more teeth. Both are wonderful together. I think thats what made it such a great band.

@@cemegonuts Agree 100%. Hodgson's solo career was a flop & now he basically rehashes his Supertramp songs over & over for a flock of fawning disciples (that's how it feels at least). Davies & his Supertramp never really worked out either. They brought out the very best in each other when it came to making music. I love all of the albums they made together (even Famous Last Words although it falls short of the others). Crime Of The Century is just out of this world!

steelyman08 Hodgsons solo career is going very very well. Rehash’s old supertramp songs? Really? Isn’t that what every artist and band continue to do? Besides, Roger Hodgson continually includes new material in his performances. His shows are exceptional and his voice has really stood the test of time

2- If you want to listen to Rick Davies songs, then you go to the Supertramp tour. Unfortunately they may play Roger’s songs, which is a shame and a disaster. They are flat and gray. (I had this frustrating experience in 1988).

The real McCcoy 1- If you want to listen to some Supertramp songs as The Logical Song, Dreamer, Breakfast in America, you should go to Roger Hodgson world tour. He is the composer/writer of those songs as well as cofounder of the band. He left the band in 1983, but he didn’t leave his songs or fans.
