Way to go John Ikerd. I have a thought, when small is said to be better, why can we not put the facts in front of the people and show small farms to be better. Can we assume that food from small farms is better, more nutritious and the CAFO alternative is less so. Food is about nutrition and health of people, not keeping bellies full. It would also be helpful for those who run small farms to also not take short cuts which lead to criticism such as, early weaning of piglets to get the sow rebreed, this early weaning sets the piglets back and often impairs them for life. Keep up the good work.
