Dame Maggie didn't change much in 30 some years, either, but roddy McDowel looks really fresh faced in it. also reccomended from the same era (and AUTHOR) is The Mirror Cracked with Angela Landsbury as Miss Marple right before she switched to playing expy Jessica Fletcher. you can also catch Liz Talor as the victim!

It was our loss and the UK's gain when none of the American networks would produce The Muppet Show and they had to go overseas to do it. We could have had all these talk show and variety show appearances the British shows got while they were over there! But at least we get to see them now.

Kermit ka-poofed into a princess, I didn't see that one coming! 😂🤣 Loved it! I was genuinely saddened when Jim Henson passed away. Also when Jonh Inman left us. The Muppet Show and Are You Being Served were two of my favorite shows. Mr. Humphries, and everyone at Grace Brothers are truly missed! Rest in Peace, one and all.

At the time Des' chat show was called Des O'Connor Entertains and was made by ATV, who were also making The Muppet Show. Des' later chat shows always had a genuine live audience, but I don't know if Des O'Connor Entertains did.

I've never seen this interview, but knew John Inman was never on The Muppet Show as a guest (Imagine the possibilities of 70s Britcoms, Dads Army, or Carry On with the Muppets).
