This is one of those dances where I wish I could watch it in person. The camera focus and angle sometimes takes away from me enjoying the dance and watching her technique and how she moves across the floor. I feel like I want to see more of the bigger picture.

I really love the choreography but I don't see much connection between the choreography and the music. But I'm the kind of person who's always analyzing performances on an emotional level. Still really really beautiful :)

I think it's just a bad video, the camera doesn't really work with the choreography in this case. Camera has a lot to do with the overall impression. For me that was the first thing I noticed to be off.

Compelling performance and intense yet gentle choreography-- so beautiful to watch! This may sound strange, but I was especially impressed by your hands; you had perfect control and strength in your hands, yet they never looked tense or strained. I would start with ballet because you get your basic training and moves which will make it easier to do other moves for othertypes of dances.

Ballet is great for developing technique. You can try it first. But it's not for everyone, because it's very classical and therefore slightly rigid. Contemporary would be your next best alternative. Find a good teacher that can teach you the correct technique, give you conditioning and teach you how to use your body properly rather than just teach flashy choreography, and you'll be on your way...
