Lennon was my favorite Beatle. Not that I had a fan-boy crush on him, I just really appreciated his solo work . Plastic Ono was a huge influence on many musicians.

The output of the other Beatles took a creative dive in the 80s-it's hard to see why Lennon would have been any different. Every cloud has a silver lining - think of the dreadful Yoko songs that were never written which would have been forcibly shoehorned onto any future Lennon LP. The horror!

John really found himself post-Beatles. You'd be hardpressed to find a more unique individual than John Lennon! It's a tragedy that Mark Chapman took John away from us so prematurely. Imagine what an input John could have had today - on today's current affairs!

John was certainly one of a kind, I know THAT much. I think he was 2nd ONLY to Little Richard for funniest musician and that's even arguable. The most interesting interviewees(please add your own so I can check them out) are 1. Malcolm X 2. John Lennon/MLK tied 4.(because of the tie) Muhammad Ali 5. Carlin/Pryor tied Going back to John, there was just something about that guy.

I don't know why people always comment about Yoko being ugly. She's attractive but didn't fit the westernised version of attractive because she's not like Bridget Bardot. She was very clinging and it was a strangely intense relationship for 2 parents to have but she was what he apparently needed at the time. Cynthia was lovely but too straight and conformist for him.

@BillySBC
@BillySBC 3 жыл бұрын
@@generalyellor8188 Chapman was a government MKULTRA patient sent on a mission to eliminate a perceived enemy, the same as Sirhan Sirhan and Lee Harvey Oswald. Lennon was the third great assassination by government insiders, the first was Martin Luther King Jr., the second was Bobby Kennedy, the third was John Lennon. All of these people fought for civil rights, and they all threatened the conservative elite. Consider what is happening today in our time with the psychopathic Trump supporters and realize these people are nothing new. John Lennon was assassinated, he was not killed by some random psycho, and his killer walks the streets today a free man.

Don't get me wrong " _Free as a Bird_ " is a good song, not great. John would say its a throw away, or even garbage! He said that about a lot of his Masterpieces. We all know why The Beatles picked the song to work on. " _Real Love_ " is so much better! More Beatlely...
