"Open Up" is a song recorded by British electronic duo Leftfield featuring John Lydon (of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd).
It was released as a single on 1 November 1993.
The single reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart, number one on the UK Dance Chart and number 39 in both Australia and New Zealand.
NME reported in their 18 September 1993 issue, "This is the record that people have always wanted Lydon to do."

Long forgotten about this song until I watched the movie Hackers last week. Hearing the song immediately got my attention( got the toes tapping) and now I'm here. I love playing the drums, listening to house/techno and Lydon's voice. This is an epic, booming dance track with the greatest vocals. Ahead of its time in many ways but also a perfect bridge from the 80's to the 90's. Wow!

Then it was Marusha, Westbam, RMB, Hooligan, Cosmic Baby and many more. I became a RAVEr, and it's lasted to this day. Plus, that track still sounds timeless even now years later. When people listen to Anarchy in the UK and claim Lydon can't sing, I refer them to this video. He made a stylistic choice in Anarchy to fry the F out of his vocals, but in reality he can sing, and sing well.
