KZbin recommended one of his video, and it was maybe an hour long interview of some sort, but he went on to talk about all the amazing things his school, book printing, and translation he's doing. He went on and on for 20-30 mins about all the bibles he's created and all this amazing nonsense, which just sounded like he's turned Gods word into a money printer. I skipped through and I just gave up. I can't believe how rich some of these pastors are getting, his bible sold over 1million copies, why is that even a thing. I don't think he said once he thanks Jesus for any of it.

My point about the Lordship salvation issue is that if it produces such negative effects in people like doubt, fear, despair and hopelessness how can it be from God? When I read about salvation in the Scriptures it’s often times accompanied by joy, peace, singing, gladness, hope and so on. Glad I was DELIVERED from many Lordship salvation preachers because I can truly say their teaching sunk me deep into an ocean of hopelessness. But God brought me hope through the salvation ACCOMPLISHED in Jesus Christ my Savior.

Lordship salvation teaches that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then he or she will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life. Lordship salvation is not a salvation-by-works doctrine. Advocates of lordship salvation are careful to say that salvation is by grace alone, that believers are saved before their faith ever produces any good works, and that Christians can and do sin. However, true salvation will inevitably lead to a changed life. The saved will be dedicated to their Savior. A true Christian will not feel comfortable living in unconfessed, unforsaken sin. Is it possible to be a Christian and live in lifelong carnality, enjoying the pleasures of sin, and never seeking to glorify the Lord who bought him? Can a sinner spurn the lordship of Christ yet lay claim to Him as Savior? Can someone pray a “sinner’s prayer” and go about his life as if nothing had happened and still call himself a “Christian”? Lordship salvation says “no.” Let us not give unrepentant sinners false hope; rather, let us declare the whole counsel of God: “You must be born again” (John 3:7). Scripture teaches that behavior is an important test of faith. Obedience is evidence that one’s faith is genuine (1 John 2:3). If a person remains unwilling to obey Christ, he provides evidence that his “faith” is in name only (1 John 2:4). A person may claim Jesus as Savior and pretend to obey for a while, but, if there is no heart change, his true nature will eventually manifest itself. You cannot live any way you please, in willful sin without repentance, and think God is fine with it. 1 Corinthians 10:21 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

@@wanderer44-xr5si What about Christians who struggle with sin or have little growth over time (but still have growth)?
@wanderer44-xr5si
@wanderer44-xr5si 2 ай бұрын
@@Joseph-e9p1x All Christians experience struggles with sin, regardless of their maturity in faith. The Apostle Paul expresses this in Romans 7:15-20, where he describes his own battle against sin. This struggle is a common part of the Christian experience and underscores our need for God’s grace and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It’s essential to remember that growth is a result of God’s grace, not human effort. Philippians 1:6 assures us that God is faithful to complete the work He began in us. The Holy Spirit helps us to persevere, encouraging us to keep seeking the Lord, even in the midst of struggles. Upon salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells every believer (1 Corinthians 6:19). This presence is crucial for enabling Christians to live in a manner that pleases God. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to overcome sin and live according to God’s will. The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit in believers' lives, including love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These qualities reflect a life transformed by the Spirit, enabling believers to overcome sinful behaviors and grow in holiness. So depend on the Holy Spirit and you will find freedom and victory, in Jesus name. And remember to spend intimate time daily in prayer, just talking to Jesus like a friend. Telling him your struggles, and what you are going through. No special words. Then read a chapter or 2 a day in the bible, asking the Holy Spirit to fellowship with you, and to speak to you through scripture. Its essential, to develop a relationship, and to build a strong foundation. The more you do this, the easier it will be to avoid temptations, and you will become stronger spiritually. God has a special purpose for you. God bless

@generalmoonstone The sins of the entire world were "paid for". But actually; 'paid for" is not a term used in the Bible. Our sins were 'taken away'. Our sins were 'forgiven'. Use Biblical words. It's not whether our sins are "paid for " or not "paid for"! It's is whether we have realized it yet. The sins of the entire world were "paid for" (forgiven).(DONE DEAL!). If we know it then we are"saved" (assured). If we don't know it yet then we are not saved" (assured). But the truth is > ALL ARE FORGIVEN! Our knowledge has nothing to do with forgiveness. Our "salvation" does have to to with our knowledge. Our knowledge only has to do with 'knowing' that we are going to Heaven. But if we don't 'know'; we are still going to Heaven whether we "know" or not! Our knowledge doesn't get us there. Our knowledge just lets us know that we are going there.

Christians who suffer from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) are easy prey for the false doctrine of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation causing them to doubt their salvation as OCD is a doubting disease of the mind. The false doctrine of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation will no doubt take out of context and use in isolation such passages like Matthew 24:13, Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 8:6-8/Luke 8:13-15, John 15:2,6, Luke 12:42-46, Romans 2:6-7, Romans 2:13, 1 Corinthians 9:27, 2 Corinthians 13:5, Philippians 2:12, and Revelation 3:5 and use these passages in support of their false doctrine. @@chrisa3289 If free will does not exist, then the following exhortations in God's Word would not be in there: Joshua 24:15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:22 - Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have CHOSEN to serve the Lord.” “Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied. The word "chosen" in Joshua 24:22 indicates that man has free will and indicates the action taken by the people as a result of the exhortation given in Joshua 24:15. Deuteronomy 30:19 - 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Again, the word "choose" indicates that God has given us FREE WILL. Judges 10:14 - 14 Go and cry unto the gods WHICH YE HAVE CHOSEN; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. Ezra 8:28 - And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a FREEWILL offering unto the Lord God of your fathers. Psalm 119:108 - Accept, I beseech thee, the FREEWILL offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. Isaiah 66:3-4 - 3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. @@chrisa3289 How would you feel if God chose the people who are the closest to you to hell?? I know you have family, but I find it hard to believe that God has "chosen" all of them for heaven. How would you feel if that was your beloved spouse, your girlfriend, your children, or your parents that God chose to go to hell "before the foundation of the world" and that there is not a thing that they or you can do to change that??? Also, how do you know if YOU were chosen by God before the foundation of the world?? Calvinism, which you embrace gives no one assurance that they are saved and going to heaven. No different from the Puritans who were the Calvinists of yesteryear where many of them died on their deathbeds in an utter state of panic not knowing if they were saved or not. William Perkins was a classic example. Even John Piper, who is one of the most eminent Calvinist apologist and "pastor" has no assurance of his salvation and neither does his congregation. Piper made this statement in his sermon entitled, "Why God is not a megalomaniac in demanding to be worshiped" - Nov 20, 2008 in Providence, Rhode Island. Piper says, "I deal with this as much as anything, probably, in the people that I'm preaching to. "Fears and doubts, doubts not about objective "Did He rise from the dead?" - very few people are wrestling with that - but "Am I in? Am I saved?" That's very common for people to wrestle with." "But why I sin against my wife the same at age 62 that I did at age 42 causes me sometimes TO DOUBT MY SALVATION or the power of the Holy Spirit. - This question is not theoretical."

2 Corinthians 13:5 says: "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test." This verse calls believers to honestly evaluate their own spiritual condition to ensure they are genuinely living in faith and trusting Jesus. It encourages self-reflection to determine if the Holy Spirit is actively working in their lives. Paul reminds us that true believers will show evidence of Christ’s presence through the Spirit, which leads to transformation, humility, and obedience. Essentially, it is a call to spiritual honesty and surrender-testing ourselves through prayer, Scripture, and reliance on the Holy Spirit to ensure we are truly walking in faith and aligned with God.

@comcfi my question would be whether this was a decision of your own free will as well as whether you clearly understood the gospel. If both things are true, then you should not doubt that your salvation was genuine. Have you since rescinded that belief? If no, then you are still saved. I am not sure how to interpret "a life of sin". All Christians sin. Nonetheless, it would be profitable for you and the world if you pursued spiritual growth and moral excellence not because your salvation depends on it but because it's your reasonable service unto the Lord. @comcfi Yes. Eternal life is a FREE GIFT, that is not of our works - Romans 4:2-6. All saved Christians still sin after they are saved because our innate sin nature has not been eradicated/disabled yet - Romans 7:14-25. You are still saved, but you will lose out on eternal rewards when your earthly life will be evaluated at the future Bema Judgment Seat of Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15. All saved Christian's works in this life whether GOOD or BAD, will be evaluated at the Judgment Seat of Christ to determine the gain or loss of ETERNAL REWARDS and the privilege of REIGNING with Christ, BUT not eternal life which is free. The Judgment Seat of Christ is reserved for SAVED PEOPLE ONLY - 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15. It is separate from the Great White Throne Judgment reserved exclusively for the UNSAVED ONLY - Revelation 20:11-15. 1) FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS in this life that lived obediently, and faithfully and did things that have eternal value will be granted with eternal rewards, and for some, the earned privilege of reigning with Christ in the Millennium is granted - 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 3:21, and Revelation 2:26. Their lives will be tested with fire (Christ's fiery scrutiny) and WILL PASS THE TEST and be granted eternal rewards and some will reign with Christ. 2) UNFAITHFUL CHRISTIANS in this life that lived disobediently, and carnally will have their works tested with the fire of Christ's scrutiny at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Their lives, that is, their works had no eternal value and WILL FAIL THE TEST and be denied eternal rewards, BUT are still saved because eternal life is a free gift apart from works - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:20, Romans 3:28, Romans 4:2-6, Romans 9:32, Romans 11:6, Galatians 2:16, Galatians 2:21, Gal ch. 3, Galatians 5:4, Titus 3:5. If we Christians deny Christ in this life by living unfaithfully, disobediently, or carnally in this life and then die in that state of mind, then Christ will DENY us ETERNAL REWARDS and the privilege of REIGNING with Him (latter half of 2 Timothy 2:12), but our eternal salvation remains intact and untouched as 2 Timothy 2:13 clearly states. Believers who endure and persevere under trials and hardships in this life will REIGN with Christ. 2 Timothy 2:12-13 - 12 If we suffer, we shall also REIGN WITH HIM: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, YET HE ABIDETH FAITHFUL: he cannot deny himself. If we DENY CHRIST in this earthly life by living in disobedience, unfaithfulness, carnality, worldliness, laziness, etc, then Christ will DENY US ETERNAL REWARDS and the privilege of REIGNING with Him at the Judgment Seat of Christ - 2nd half of 2 Timothy 2:12, BUT WE ARE STILL SAVED AND POSSESS ETERNAL LIFE in heaven - 2 Timothy 2:13, 1 Corinthians 3:14-15. 2 John 1:8 - Watch out that you do not LOSE what we have WORKED FOR, but that you may be REWARDED FULLY. 1 Corinthians 9:27 - No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I MYSELF WILL NOT BE DISQUALIFIED FOR THE PRIZE. (Note: the word "prize" is not referring to the free gift of eternal life, but is referring to an eternal reward that is earned by our earthly performance in obedience, faithfulness, and perseverance.) Revelation 22:12 - And, behold, I come quickly; and my REWARD is with me, to give every man ACCORDING AS HIS WORK SHALL BE. God sometimes punishes unfaithful Christians who are saved with SICKNESS and premature PHYSICAL DEATH who are living in willful sin which is in essence defiling themselves - 1 Corinthians 3:17, 1 John 5:16-17, but they are still saved. The Christians in the Corinthian church who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper are a classic example - 1 Corinthians 11:20-22, 1 Corinthians 11:29-30. Eternal life is FREE, BUT eternal rewards are EARNED. There is a big difference. This is what 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 is talking about: 10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder WILL SUFFER LOSS, but YET WILL BE SAVED-even though only as one escaping through the flames. The "gold", "silver", and "costly stones" represents faithful Christian's works in this life that had eternal value and will STAND UP to the fire used to test it, but the "wood", "hay", and "straw" represents unfaithful Christian's works in this life that had no eternal value, but will BURN UP in the fire used to test it. The "gold, "silver", and "costly stones" symbolize a life of obedience, commitment, perseverance, faithfulness, endurance under trial, etc. but the "wood", "hay", and "straw" symbolizes a life of unfaithfulness, disobedience, carnality, laziness, etc. Again, the "burned up" and "flames" in verse 15 is not referring to the flames of hell, but is referring to the works of the carnal, unfaithful, and disobedient Christians in this life that had no eternal value that is BURNED UP when tested with Christ's fiery scrutiny. Their eternal salvation remains intact and untouched, for eternal life is a free gift apart from works - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23. In conclusion, UNFAITHFUL Christians in this life who lived disobediently and carnally will experience chastisement in this life from God including SICKNESS and premature PHYSICAL DEATH for some - 1 John 5:16-17, Proverbs 15:10, Hebrews 12:5-11, Jeremiah 2:19, 1 Corinthians 11:29-30, Acts 5:1-10, and experience SHAME (1 John 2:28) and a forfeiture of ETERNAL REWARDS at the Judgment Seat of Christ, but loss of eternal life is NEVER one of the consequences - 1 Corinthians 3:15, 2 Timothy 2:13. Hope this helps, God bless!

@comcfi The following Biblical examples are worth considering, but please keep in mind that I'm not trying to condone sin after one is saved. 1) Samson is a true man of God and at the same time a FORNICATOR - Judges 16:1 who led Israel for 20 years - Judges 15:20, Judges 16:31. The Bible is clear that he saw a prostitute and spent the night with her and what is described in Mark 7:20-23 and Galatians 5:19 was in Samson's heart at that very moment. Samson's last prayer just before his simultaneous murder/suicide was NOT a prayer of repentance, but was a request to God to strengthen him so that he could get REVENGE on the Philistines for the loss of his 2 eyes. Then in Judges 16:28-30, Samson commits a simultaneous MURDER/SUICIDE. Yet Samson is listed as a Godly man in the hall of faith in Hebrews 11:32. Samson would not be listed there if he was unsaved. 2) In 1 Corinthians 5:1-5, A CHRISTIAN MAN WAS HAVING SEX WITH HIS STEPMOTHER and consequently Paul pronounced judgment on this man in 1 Corinthians 5:5 where Paul says, "hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be SAVED on the day of the Lord". It appears that this man's biological mother died where his father remarried a younger woman whom this man was attracted to. In 2 Corinthians 2:5-8, Paul gives an update on this man where we read that this man was chastened with CHURCH DISCIPLINE and that God had mercy on him and did not terminate his physical life. Paul instructs the church to forgive and comfort him so that he won't be overcome by excessive sorrow and to reaffirm their love and concern for him. 2 Corinthians 2:5-8 - But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was INFLICTED BY MANY. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to FORGIVE HIM, AND COMFORT HIM, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would CONFIRM YOUR LOVE TOWARD HIM. Nowhere in the Bible does the apostle Paul say that this man is not saved. Hope this helps, God bless!

@comcfi Here are some more Biblical examples that are worth considering: The Corinthian Christians of the apostle Paul's time certainly would convince many people that they were "unsaved" or "had lost their salvation." Their lives were deplorable and were living in gross sin and immorality, but Paul affirmed the fact that they were saved in 1 Corinthians 3:1 as he addressed them as "brethren" that were "carnal babes in Christ". Paul would not have addressed them in that way if they were not saved. Paul addresses them as "brethren" in 1 Cor 2:1, as "brethren" and "carnal' "babes in Christ" in 1 Cor 3:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 4:6, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 10:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 11:2, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 12:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 14:20, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:58. (KJV) The above list in 1 Corinthians where Paul repeatedly addressed the Corinthian Christians as "brethren" is overwhelming evidence that these are saved people possessing eternal life. Paul would not have addressed them as "brethren" if they were not saved. When Paul addressed the Corinthian church they were living in sexual immorality, lawsuits, divisions, etc, at the very time when he wrote to them. Lordshippers just love to change the plain text and teach that Paul was referring to the Corinthians after they matured. NO, Paul was addressing and rebuking them in their present state while they were living in sin. It makes no logical sense for the apostle Paul to address and rebuke them if the Corinthians "grew" and matured. Paul addresses them as "Brethren" meaning they were saved, but he couldn't address them as spiritual and mature because they were not. They were saved, but CARNAL and BABES IN CHRIST who were still not growing as Paul said they were still drinking milk. 1 Corinthians 3:1 KJV - "And I, BRETHREN, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto CARNAL, even as unto BABES IN CHRIST." 1 Corinthians 3:2 - I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, YOU ARE STILL NOT READY. 1) 1 Corinthians 3:3 - there was ENVYING, STRIFE, and DIVISIONS among the Christians. 2) 1 Corinthians 4:18 - there was ARROGANCE among the Corinthian Christians. 3) 1 Corinthians 6:7-8 - THERE WERE CHRISTIANS TAKING OTHER CHRISTIANS TO COURT and there was CHEATING among them. 4) 1 Corinthians 7:2 - there was FORNICATION among the Christians. 5) 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 - there were Christians EATING SELFISHLY, and there was DRUNKENNESS at the Lord's Supper. Because of their selfish indulgence of food and getting drunk God brought about SICKNESS and PHYSICAL DEATH as punishment - 1 Cor 11:29-30. Scripture is clear that there are indeed carnal Christians that are saved. It's not good or spiritually edifying that they are living in sin. God will CHASTISE them because they are His children, but they are still saved - Hebrews 12:5-11. The book of 1 Corinthians confirms the reality of carnal Christians who were living in sin and Paul affirmed that they are eternally saved by addressing them as "sanctified in Christ Jesus" and "saints" in 1 Cor 1:2. Paul also made it clear that he would deal with those who were sinning in the Corinthian Church with DISCIPLINE/CHASTISEMENT. This, of course, was not a threat against their salvation and eternal security. They were in danger of chastisement from God for their sinful actions and behavior - 2 Corinthians 13:2. Paul had already pronounced chastisement on the man who was sleeping with his stepmother in 1 Corinthians 5:1-5. All the other sinning believers were in the same danger of chastisement from God just like the ones who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper - 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 and their consequent chastisement of sickness and premature physical death where their life spans were cut short - 1 Corinthians 11:29-30. 2 Corinthians 13:2 - I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others. It appears that Paul was warning the Corinthian believers about imminent chastisement from God if they didn't heed his warnings to them. In 1 Corinthians 11:29-30, it clearly states that God had already dealt with some of the Corinthian Christians who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:20-22) by sending sickness and premature PHYSICAL DEATH where their life spans were cut short. Self-righteous Calvinists/Lordship Salvationists and Arminian/Lordship Salvationists will of course deliberately deny the existence of carnal Christians and would deliberately write off carnal Christians who are living in sin as "unsaved" or having "lost their salvation" despite overwhelming evidence from Scripture. Hope this helps, God bless!

It is unwise to say whether someone is or is not saved. If someone is continuing to live a lifestyle of sin, that is evidence that they have not been regenerated / born again. 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. Titus 3:3-8

I pursued this relationship; have been in this relationship for years; i don’t want to give it up, but i love Jesus and i know Jesus loves me. Am i saved even if i continue in this “sinful” relationship? My relatives are condemning this relationship, worried about my salvation. @sarahbringas234 Dear sister in the Lord, thank you for your bravery in disclosing your moral struggle. Adultery is a grave sin and you should flee from it. The Bible emphasizes the seriousness of all sexual sin and so we should take it seriously. Adultery is also very hurtful to fellow human beings and can even be to your own self. Your relatives mean well and likely want you to stop so that the pain and fallout from this conduct does not destroy your life and the lives of others. That said, your eternal security does not rest on you stopping adultery per se. It rests on you maintaining your belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. Hopefully, when you remember your identity as a "female" son of God, your conduct will start to align accordingly, and the appeal of this adulterous relationship will fade.

The Word of God says "Adulterers and fornicators i will judge " The solution to avoid Gods Judgement on your sin is to get married . Surely you and your guy can get married ! After you are married neither you or your guy will feel guity for having sex. The question is does he love you enough to free you from your guiltt by marrying you. And do you love him enough to free him from his guilt by marrying him . Love is much deeper in marriage than love in illegal sexual relations. . I’m sorry that our sister has gotten stuck in condemnation, because pastor John has preached from Romans 8:32 about how God CONTINUES to keep us “saved”. John preaches that we continue to sin and will, but the Lifestyle pattern of unrepentant sin is broken and by sanctification through the Holy Spirit alone are we made more like Jesus.. little by little. I pray that our sister will cling to the guarantor of our salvation. John is NOT misleading from the pulpit.🙏🏼💙

We're saved by faith and anyone worried they might not be saved, if you believed even once in Jesus 1 Cor 15: 1-4 then you're saved. That is a promise by God. Sealed with the Holy Spirit. My son once asked me that same question. I was putting him down to bed, he was about 11 I think? I kissed him goodnight and just as I was leaving, he asked "Dad, how do I know I'm saved?" I asked if he believed in Jesus, walked through the gospel (john 3:16, romans 10:9-10, 1 cor 15:1-4). He said, "Yes." I told him, then you're saved. He asked again, "yeah, but how do I know?" I explained that the instant you believe God seals us with the Holy Spirit. It's the highest seal by God's own authority. Can't ever be undone. We're saved not just for us, but it's for God's own glory." He asked again, "yeah but dad, how do I know if I have the Holy Spirit? I can't feel him..." That broke my heart. I looked at him and smiled. I said "Son. The Holy Spirit isn't some feeling. He is God whether we feel Him or not. Yeah, sure, once in awhile you can maybe feel His presence. But that can also be deceiving. Rather, you know you have the Holy Spirit because God said so in His word. So, if it wasn't so then bible isn't true. But it is and therefore you are sealed with Holy Spirit. You can know you're saved because God promised it. Son, you know how we talk about Israel being back in the land and we've looked at prophecies like Ezekiel 36? How God promised that after scattering the Jews into all the nations that He would bring them back to the land not because of anything they have done but for His holy name? Well, they are in the land today, after going through incredible journey, all because God promised it. That same God promised you salvation if you even once believed in the gospel. You said you believe in Jesus, therefore you are saved. And if you ever doubt it for any reason, I want you to stop and ask yourself, is Israel in the land? If they are in the land, then don't ever doubt your salvation because God promised to bring them back and never uproot them again. Sure, they will have trouble, big time, but they won't be scattered to nations ever again." With that he fell right asleep and never once has questioned his salvation. And that was 6 years ago. He's super popular and has done a lot of wrong things. But you know what? I have never ever ever seen a kid his age share the gospel with more people and help other christians understand the gospel. He knows he's saved and he knows and has memorized the gospel in scripture and can easily tell anyone about it. That's freaking fruit!

One thing that helped me is the feeling of not being saved. If you have that feeling is that you are actually saved. Satan doesn't want us to be in peace in Christ so he will create doubt in our head. If you are not saved Satan will certainly not give you that feeling of doubt mainly because he doesn't want an unbeliever to be saved. So if you have this doubt be cherry because your name is written in the book of life. Now look toward Christ and praise him

Is there anything else I have to do to be saved? Perhaps John would say; well yes you have to repent of your sins and follow Jesus, carry your cross daily. Ok John but what does that mean? Do I have to be perfect and never sin again? He would say no of course not no one is perfect! Ok so how good do I have to be? Where does God draw the line between saved and unsaved based on my level of obedience? ...................??

The thing is that you confess your sins, turn from them so that God can wash you from them. That's how you are saved and forgiven in Christ Jesus. Continuing in sin after you got "saved" leads nowhere. Beliveing lies and doctrines of demons makes you live in sin without remmission for them and that's the point. Payment for every sin is death and you need to walk straight narrow line with having fellowship with God and his Son Jesus whitch he established 2000+ years ago by his dying on the cross and reseurection. You don't look at sin, you look at fruit and whether or not a person bears the signs of a real believer. All too often teachers use Eph 2:8 & 9 without verse 10, and neglect what James says about showing faith by my works. You have Matthew 7:20-23, Jesus said I NEVER knew you, and John said they went out from us because they were not of us, and John also is clear in several verses that he that sinneth hath not seen neither known God, he that sinneth is of the devil, etc - 1 John 2:3, 3:6, 3:8 - 10, 3:14, 5:18. So the way one lives their life does matter. And we should examine ourselves whether we be in the faith, and work out our own salvation with fear & trembling, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh & spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God, and follow peace with all, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord, , but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation, for it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy. And, seeing then that all things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Amen! HalleluYah! That's all Scripture, and is very clear. I'm neither Calvinist nor Arminian. I used to believe you could lose salvation. Now I believe if truly saved, chosen & elect, predestined, you cannot. But you shall persevere and you will be sanctified & not continue in sin. You will bear fruit, and express love as the scripture clearly says.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith. Romans1:17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “ The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 4:5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, Romans 4:6 And David speaks likewise of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him… Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 corrin 5:19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, 👉no longer counting people’s sins against them. @wolfwatchers And that is all true, for it is the Word. This issue of faith & works is a bit of an antinomy, that is, an apparent contradiction between 2 teachings that are both reasonable, and in the case of Scripture, both true in that they actually complement one the other. However, those saved by grace through faith alone WILL bear fruit. A fruitless tree is cursed, as the example of Jesus withering the fig tree in Mark 11. James is clear, faith without works is dead, James 2:14 - 26 makes it plain that true faith is evidenced by works. John also deals with this in his first Epistle, concerning having love for the brethren. Love is not a feeling it's an action. Love is put into practice, naturally, because of your faith. You picked on the Word "should" and said it didn't say "must." Peripatesomen is the Greek here, which is translated "we should walk" It means to walk, as in all the way around, as in behavior & lifestyle. The should is not a maybe. The should is not you can do it or not without consequence. Rather, it is preceeded by "God hath before ordained", that is, God has prepared, appointed that those saved by grace through faith do this. There is NOTHING at all we can do to save ourselves, that is all Yahweh in Yeshua, the Father & the Son, being born again by the Holy Spirit. But we should not be deceived by false teachers of easy grace that give license to sin, for they have led many to hell with their false gospel, and as teachers shall receive the greater condemnation. And LORD forgive MY trespasses in this area, for I once believe the lie, and lived in sin greatly while professing Christ loosely. No, my dear brothers and sisters, the LORD calls us to repent or likewise perish, and to touch not the unclean thing, and to purify our hearts, yet not of our own self effort, but by faith, that we being dead to sin, no longer live in sin, yea, we ESTABLISH the law by faith as Paul told the Romans, And as Titus 3:8, This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. And in 1 Timothy 6 he charged those rich in the world not to trust riches, but be rich in good works.

But likely it is that because you have doubts it’s because you ARE saved. But I didnt see any of them, so I sat by myself. Then I thought maybe I give my life to Jesus, but voice said, dont do it, you will be retired and all life goes past of you. But I felt empty for my partying and satisfying my desires and decided to go for retirement with Jesus. Sitting back row there I agreed for biblical marriage and asked Jesus to take my life. First I felt peace in my heart, and I thought why I didnt do this earlier? Soon after came great joy and I knew Jesus was alive. John says about his first Epistle, "We write these things so that you may be assured of your salvation". Read the book of 1st John, it goes on and on about who's in the light and who isn't. The fact is if you are doubting your salvation, you should be questioning your salvation. Don't depend on week pastors to tell you that everything is going to be ok because you said a prayer one time, instead pour yourself out to God. Lay yourself down everyday and pick up your cross. You are still in rebellion to our glorious sovereign God, who says, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion" (Rom 9:15). You call evil good and good evil, because you detest the One True God, who says through His servant, "Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some vessels for honor and some for dishonor?" ALL scripture is God-breathed and is useful (2 Tim 3:16). So yield yourself to ALL of his word-- not just the verses you approve of. Those who embrace some scripture verses and reject verses they do not like fashion for themselves an artificial Jesus who closely resembles themselves. This artificial Jesus cannot save.

Considering that we've been SANCTIFIED @ Salvation (1Cor6:11) with Christ Himself becoming our Sanctification (1Cor1:30), how is "progressive sanctification" different from HolySpirit-led walk of Christian discipleship? Should we even be using the term "progressive" sanctification for a finished work of God?
@wanderer44-xr5si
@wanderer44-xr5si 2 ай бұрын
In passages like 1 Corinthians 6:11 and 1 Corinthians 1:30, the New Testament indeed teaches that believers are sanctified (set apart) at the moment of salvation. This initial sanctification is a definitive act of God, declaring us holy because of our union with Christ. We are positionally sanctified, meaning that in God's eyes, we are viewed as holy and righteous because of Christ’s work. Progressive Sanctification: This term refers to the ongoing process in the life of a believer where they grow in holiness and become more like Christ. While we are positionally sanctified at salvation, progressive sanctification acknowledges that we continue to wrestle with sin and are called to pursue holiness in our daily lives (2 Peter 3:18). This growth involves the work of the Holy Spirit and requires our active participation through obedience, discipline, and discipleship. The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in both initial and progressive sanctification. Upon believing in Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering them to live in accordance with God's will (Romans 8:9-11). The Holy Spirit guides, convicts, and helps believers to grow in their faith and bear fruit (Galatians 5:22-23). The "Holy Spirit-led walk of Christian discipleship" can be seen as synonymous with progressive sanctification, as it emphasizes living out one’s faith and growing in Christlikeness through reliance on the Holy Spirit. This involves continual surrender and obedience to God’s Word. The term "progressive sanctification" is widely used in Christian theology to articulate the ongoing nature of spiritual growth after salvation. It helps distinguish between the initial sanctification that occurs at conversion and the lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ. While some may argue against using "progressive" because it implies that sanctification is incomplete, it’s important to recognize that believers are called to grow in their faith and holiness. The use of the term acknowledges that, although we have been sanctified in Christ, we are still in the process of being transformed into His image (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Conclusion In summary, while our position as sanctified believers is a finished work of God at salvation, "progressive sanctification" accurately describes the ongoing process of spiritual growth and maturity in the Christian life. It emphasizes that, through the Holy Spirit, we are called to actively pursue holiness and live out our faith in discipleship. Both concepts are important and reflect different aspects of the believer’s journey with God.

@@wanderer44-xr5si I realise there's a walk of the born-again child of God as a follower of Jesus Christ. This walk is HolySpirit-led. @@T.Ravikumar while sanctification is a completed positional reality, Scripture also speaks about growing in Christlikeness-what many refer to as “progressive sanctification.” Here’s a way to think about it: Positional vs. Practical Sanctification: In one sense, we are sanctified (set apart) the moment we believe, as you’ve pointed out with passages like 1 Corinthians 6:11 and Ephesians 1:13. This is our positional sanctification-we are holy in God’s sight because we are in Christ. Yet, we’re also called to grow in holiness and to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12-13), which speaks to our practical sanctification. The Holy Spirit works within us to transform us day by day, helping us to reflect Christ more in our actions and character. The Role of Discipleship and Transformation: Discipleship, as you mentioned, is crucial in the life of a believer. It’s through discipleship and obedience to God’s Word that we mature in our faith. Hebrews 10:14 puts it beautifully: “For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” While we are perfected in position, we are also being made holy in practice-a journey of growing in grace and in knowledge of Christ. Scriptural Examples of Growth: Paul often speaks of believers “being transformed” (2 Corinthians 3:18) and encourages us to “put to death” our old ways (Colossians 3:5-10). This ongoing transformation isn’t about earning our salvation but about becoming who we already are in Christ. The Spirit’s Ongoing Work: The sealing of the Holy Spirit is indeed a sign of God’s finished work in Christ, but the Spirit also continues to work in us. Galatians 5:16-25 describes how the Spirit leads us away from sin and produces His fruit in our lives-a continual process as we walk with Him. In short, while our sanctification is positionally complete in Christ, there is still an ongoing, practical aspect to our walk with God as we grow and are shaped by the Holy Spirit. This journey isn’t a contradiction but rather the outworking of what Christ has already accomplished. So, both positional sanctification and practical sanctification are essential parts of our Christian life, leading us ultimately to perfect glorification when we are fully like Christ.

@@wanderer44-xr5si I think you have beautifully explained the walk of discipleship of every HolySpirit-indwelled born-again child of God. There's no scriptural basis for positional sanctification & practical sanctification, in which case there should be positional eternal life (salvation) & practical eternal life (salvation). Such a thing is unscriptural. People keep repeatedly (& unintentionally) conflating discipleship with sanctification. Heb 10:14 has been mistranslated in many versions, it reads: "For by a single offering He has perfected (justified in Christ) forever those who have been sanctified (set-apart in Christ)". This will make sense only when you read 1Cor6:11: "But you were washed, you were sanctified & you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" But to top it all, Christ has become the RIGHTEOUSNESS (justification) & SANCTIFICATION of those who've chosen to believe in Him. There's nothing progressive about this. It's instantaneous & complete. However this is discipleship: 👇🏻 🔸Eze 37🔸 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. 26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will call for the grain, and will multiply it, and lay no famine on you. 30 I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field, that you may receive no more the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 "Then you will remember your evil ways, and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations"

The only context in which the Bible mentions looking at works to establish whether or not someone is saved is when looking at other people, because we are not God and cannot know directly what somebody else believes we can look at their actions to discern whether or not their claimed beliefs seem likely to be so, even then it's an imperfect thing and we could be wrong. When examining ourselves, we know exactly what we believe, looking at our own actions is of zero value to us in determining whether or not we really believe something as we already know the answer.

If you're "doubting your faith", that's good from the perspective that you actually think about and are concerned about you're salvation, but at the same time did you ever try to stop doing whatever it is that the Spirit is convicting you about? Whether you're saved or not, when you sin deliberately you bring curses upon yourself. I remember when I first really came to faith and was baptized by the Holy Spirit, I still struggled with porn for a while afterward. I remember having similar thoughts about "am I really saved" and "can I lose my salvation" (which of course you can't...if you're actually saved anyway). During that time I felt God's conviction continually, the Spirit felt distant, God's favor wasn't with me in anything that I did and everything that could go wrong always seemed to. The point is that I never felt God's peace like scripture promises. Well, through a concerted effort on my part I began to disentangle myself from this evil practice. Didn't get too far at first because I was merely trying by my own effort. Wouldn't make it much more than a single 24 hour period before I'd give way to the "urge". That's when I began to lean of God's power through prayer and then I began to see real progress. It started slow, I'd go 3 days then cave and then a week. Soon I was going several months without faltering until I got to where I'm at now where I've gone over 4 years and don't even think about it. The whole point in this story is that A. you are expected to "overcome" your flesh because God has literally given you the power to do so through His Spirit, all that's required is a genuine desire to change and B. believers aren't supposed to feel comfortable living the same life that we did before coming to Christ. Scripture tells us that we literally become a "new creation" when God's Spirit enters into us, transforming are old nature that was disposed to do evil into a new nature (a divine nature) that is disposed to live righteously. Anyone telling you that a saved person can comfortably live a life of willful sin is lying to you, cause scripture tells us plainly that a person that's truly born again is unable to even bring themselves to do so (1 John 3:4-10). It's worth mentioning that when I say that "I" overcame porn, what I'm actually saying is that God overcame it by the power of His Spirit. It's for this reason that scripture says that "no man can boast" (Ephesians 2:9) because without His help I would've never escaped. Again though, you are called to stop your evil. Just read chapter 6 of Romans.

If you adhere to TULIP or anything like it, then there is no peace. The “P” is not peace in eternal security. The “P” is perseverance or you weren’t really ever saved. Eternal security, as long as you show forth works that God supposedly does in you, despite any free will choices and moments of sin you choose (or God chooses?) - Trent

@BibleLine TULIP came after Calvin and the first wave of Reformers Brother Trent. I certainly reject the L, the P, the whole idea of regeneration preceding faith and abhorrent fatalism stripping man of responsibility. Free Grace people like myself who also hold to election tend to recoil from calling ourselves Calvinists but some are o.k. with it. I prefer preservation, eternal security or OSAS to perseverance but the more credal Calvinists who aren't Lordship seem to emphasise perseverance in believing rather than performance. I do concur that the vast majority who do identify as Calvinists today cling to the defective notion of perseverance in good works and accompanying introspection as proof of salvation. That is looking completely to the wrong source for assurance and no wonder it produces so many miserable and doubting Christians. Much blessing.

Once saved always saved is the only thing that makes sense. I was ensnared by the gospel of works and through God’s discipline brought me back to saved by grace through faith, not of works. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. (Ro 11:6) Salvation has to be grace through faith, not works.

Ephesians 2:8-10 is water baptism and Spirit baptism to be born again and saved. Paul wrote a letter to Ephesus reminding the Ephesians of how they were saved in their past. Acts 19:1 Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: Acts 19:5¶When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 19:5-6.

@ Baptism is not a requirement of salvation. While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” (Ac 10:44-47) Peter said, who can withhold water from them? “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (Jn 7:37-39) We are baptized by living water, which is in reference to the Holy Spirit. That’s not to say we aren’t commanded to baptize but physical baptism is not a requirement for salvation. I’m commanded to share the Gospel but that doesn’t determine whether I’m saved. Paul says “do all speak in tongues?”, which in context is implying that some don’t speak in tongues.

But works demonstrates that work of grace God has done. The dying thief still had to endure a fiery trial holding onto faith and a newly cleansed conscience, before ever he reached paradise. We know he didn't have to make it on his own, however, for it is written, "Call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you and you shall glorify me". God would have none of us be presumptuous of our standing, so that even Paul counted not himself to have attained unto the resurrection of the dead. Do we want to be utterly freed from fears, from distress etc?.....surely not in this life for even Paul spoke of such things......but looking to Jesus more steadfastly, in all that this means, increases our security, our peace, our joy, and our fruit.

@@matthewstott1661 We are meant for good works but we are not saved by good works. Our salvation is what gives us the ability to do good works. Ask yourself why are your good works GOOD? What sets your GOOD WORKS apart from an unbeliever good works? And he said to them, “Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?” And they could not reply to these things. (Lk 14:5-6) This scripture is a law issue not just a works issue. The Pharisees are condemning Jesus for working on the sabbath. Jesus replies similarly which of them wouldn’t help their ox out of the mud? They couldn’t respond because it was a law issue. If they help the ox they are breaking the sabbath if they don’t help the ox they are breaking the law also. Out of this entire conflict I think this point Jesus is make is the most clear. The conclusion is that there’s good works and GOOD WORKS. How do we go from doing good works like the Pharisees to doing good works like Jesus Christ. The Pharisees good works are in vain and are condemned by the law. It doesn’t matter what they do. They think they are doing good works but they don’t know that they are storing up wrath. So how do we not store up wrath. If you are living by the law you have to fulfill the whole law and you are storing up wrath. For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” (Ga 3:10-12) What gets us out from underneath the law? What makes our good works, Good WORKS? 👇 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest (Heb 4:8-11) (The KJV uses the word “labour” but that would contradict verse 10, the Geneva uses the word “study”, the Greek word means to be “diligent”) Well according to Jesus we find our rest in Him. Which would mean Jesus is our Sabbath. Verse 10 says that by resting we are NOT WORKING, because we don’t work on the Sabbath. Jesus is our Sabbath we don’t work on the Sabbath. So now the question is how do we enter that rest? THIS IS THE BEST PART… But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. (Ro 11:6) Grace is how we enter God’s rest. When we are in His rest we study diligently, striving to stay in that understanding of His wonderful Grace because the flesh is deceitful wicked, constantly working against you. We don’t strive to maintain our salvation, we strive to maintain our peace and understanding of hope because Satan wants to steal it from us making us ineffective. My sabbath is everyday in Jesus Christ, I’m resting and working everyday. My good works are GOOD WORKS because I’m not under the law I’m under Grace. The only way you can do GOOD WORKS is if you are resting and the only way to enter that rest is by humbling yourself and surrendering to the Grace of Jesus Christ, that He did it ALL. Only then can your good works be GOOD WORKS. It’s possible for a believer to be saved and be deceived put themselves back underneath the law, becoming ineffective because they are only doing good works and not GOOD WORKS. GOOD WORKS receive a reward, good work receive a wage and will be condemned.

The question is, has a person come to Christ and genuinely been born again? Granted, even as a Christian, he will continue to struggle with sin, but his life has taken a fundamentally different direction. What you look for is not the remnants of sin, but the fruit of the Spirit. It's a bit like the patient who is taken to the emergency room. How does the ER physician tell whether or not he is alive? By looking to see if he has symptoms of disease? No! By looking for positive signs of life. Does he have a pulse? Is he breathing? He doesn't write a death certificate just because the patient has a temperature. As for the difference between head faith and heart faith, at the time of the Reformation the issue was defined this way: the Catholic Church taught that faith was mental assent to a set of doctrines. The Reformers, on the other hand, said that it had to include an active trust and reliance on Christ as your personal Savior. Faith without works is dead (James 2:19,20). The issue is important because today too many people are led to make bare professions of faith, sometimes as small children, and think that they're saved simply because they repeated a little prayer, but had never been convicted of sin, had never seen themselves as lost sinners, and never came to Christ in repentance and faith. Then as adults they "deconvert" and become atheists.

Interesting this. Calvinists believe that faith is imparted by God to the elect. We can do nothing of ourselves. So if we lack faith for belief then we’re either not saved or God has only imparted a certain amount.

This is mistake people make.They reason if God chose you,you have no say.What if God just knows what you will choose?If last book in Bible was written approximately 2000 yrs back,about end times,surely God knows what will happen.And just so he knows what we will choose.And He wont choose for us!!!! Strangely ,i know people who say God choose for us,lay our life out.Strange.My question (in my head): "Why is it exactly you that make unwise decisions in your life???"You are creating alibi for unwise choices,actually blaming God,making God scapegoat.DANGEROUS*1000

You mentioned John 15, but why did you not continue and include John 15:10? “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” Jesus is very clear with what a saving faith looks like. “Now why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Luke 6:46 You cannot call Jesus your Savior if He is not also your Lord.

Foreknowledge/omniscience determines predestination. Not the other way around. Free will exists, and God cannot help but simply know everything irrelevant of time, and knows who will inherit His kingdom, yet the blood of Jesus was spilt for all. Free will is not removed due to foreknowledge. Calvinists/Cessationists claim to know exegesis when the reality is that in this particular part, in addition to a palm full of other parts, they reorder the implication of the grammar to help justify a deceptive level of pride that others who don’t thoroughly discern refuse to see. As an example: what they’ll do is pin you to a wall and gaslight you into thinking that you don’t know anything because they sound smart in the way they deliver parts of a passage rather than the whole thing. Then refuse to admit their error when someone calls them out. Then proceed to try to gaslight through further empty debate. I know this first hand. I spent three years at The Master’s University.

you don't look at your sin as a measurement of your salvation" involves balancing grace with evidence of transformation. While salvation is by faith alone, scripture teaches that genuine faith produces fruit. Persistent disregard for sin may indicate a lack of true conversion, as the Holy Spirit convicts believers of sin and leads them toward repentance and holiness. Sin awareness isn't a measure of salvation but evidence of a transformed heart. The Free Grace theology, by its focus on grace apart from works or transformation, underemphasizes the Holy Spirit's transformative power in a believer’s life. Scripture, however, consistently teaches that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to resist sin, pursue holiness, and bear spiritual fruit. Denying or minimizing this aspect can undermine the evidence of sanctification and the Spirit's active role in conforming believers to Christ’s image. True grace is never without transformative power.

Yup, that's the thing with religion. It gets people to have to question rather they chose the right one. Because they All: 1) promise salvation (as though its a gift they can give) 2) Have you follow there religious Physical/carnal understanding of scripture (an image that the "People" say Christ is) 3) judge everyone who is not in their religion (Meaning Every one judges one another), while they set up their kingdom in the hear and now, storing money and being part of the world with salvation in hand, locked in their own understanding. 4) ALL CLAIM TO BE AND HAVE THE TRUTH. making the spiritual truth of God a liar. Why would (since salvation is not a work of man, nor is our knowledge, the truth) God, in His Perfect work and image, Make us have to pick and choose (a work of man) our own understanding of what His truth is? Religion is carnal and the TRUTH is not in ANY. Because if it was then why would God not lead everyone to the right one? Because there is a Right one, and he does lead them in "Truth" threw the gate. It's just not a church made by man, or a Truth understood or able to be given by men. We in religion have made carnal knowledge our cornerstone, or foundation the Image of a Man, and a faith that is in ourselves. In religion we walk around like "Little gods" in which there are MANY, all on a broad road leading to hell. Following in the likeness of our fathers and their fathers before us and not in the Truth of our True Father in Heaven. It's His Truth. In this we judge, fight, war with, kill, and seek approval of men and the world. ALL without realizing we do. Thinking us doing the "Lords Work". As Paul thought also in His religion, to be doing the same. That is, before Truth was given to Him by GOD (He then leaving the religious view and following in Truth to get them to see the Truth God gave him). Getting All puffed up in our Knowlege. Without a clue we follow a light all right, only not the TRUE light but knowledge masquerading as the Truth. We all follow the words of the serpent and act exactly the way he said we would once we did listen and put our faith in his words over Gods and ate of the tree, the serpent said was good to eat. following in obedience to the words of the serpent (Physical understanding) We all want the best version or newest interpretation of scripture so WE Can gain a clearer picture of a Physical Image of the WORD. Not realizing that in Spiritual Truth the TRUE image of God is Seen in ALL scripture and in all creation with life in it. No matter what version or date written. The Image of God was NEVER the MAN.. As those who looked upon Jesus in the scripture tried to hold Him up high as a man and call him Good. The Image of God is Not that of the Creation, But the LIFE within all things created with LIFE in them. Jesus Being the PERFECT MAN (Christ the perfect lamb), with the Perfect Image of God within. Life. When you look at Gen 1 you see creation of All things (Physical, ANYONE can read and understand). I see LIFE, a child being conceived into a virgin earth, and coming forth from her water into physical light and named, to then live a life listening to man and putting faith in their words not gods, to die in sin and in Christ (the Hope of gen 3:15) the way home to his rest of day 7. Its Life God looked upon and called GOOD. Mankind before sin "very good" having been made also in his likeness of perfection. It's HIS LIFE, we join too in faith. It's this image we MUST believe in.. Not our own. It's This Faith that binds us to the Son (2 become 1) as we enter HIS death and His resurrection and into His Life. We, being 1 with the Son, When The Father calls His Son Home. It's us who comes Home With HIM.. We are NOTHING, and can do NOTHING without God Period. As I Live, I live by NO work of my Own (Do you live right now? What keeps you alive and breathing?). I live because God allows it (His breathe in Me). As I Live I live By FAITH. To then in the END (NOT NOW) Be given the Gift of salvation BY GOD HIMSELF... As I Live in the hear and the now, I LIVE BY FAITH. Faith threw a belief in a Spiritual God (a truth of which comes from GOD himself and given in grace to us.. NOT MEN). So, Yes Calvinism and every religion gets us to question our "salvation" . Because for 1: Salvation is not ours to obtain or to be given one to another by any means or sense of the word. and 2: It's given after we die by God. Religion promises something that it does not possess or have even in themselves. Which is why we can know ALL are without TRUTH. until this truth is found, we will never be at rest in it. because in truth, there is NO HIGHER learning. NOTHING LEFT TO KNOW, and Only ONE. It's this Church that was started, and 1 in the SPIRIT. religion is just a fellowship of carnal minds following their own imaginations and by us "FINDING" one is to fellowship with likeminded Carnal minds and judge the world as god, thinking ourselves immortal as god, in a carnal understanding and view we give to the ONE TRUE GOD.. Don't take my word for it, I'm just a man. Take it up with God. We are to give the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST. Not sit in our religion with carnal minds and physically interpret His WORD. I don't remember seeing in scripture where that was commanded of us too do. Yet in EVERY religion that's what we do.. Religion sais and promises that "We have the truth, We are the Way, and in us their is Life". Go to scripture and pray about this, and as you live, Live by Faith. God Bless anyone who reads this.

you need to separate the Calvinism belief that God chooses who to save from Lordship salvation. For example I believe its obvious that the Bible teaches that God chooses who gets saved. But I don't believe that truly saved Christians will necessarily choose to grow up and make Jesus truly Lord over their lives and actions. Thats why we will all stand at the judgment Seat of Christ and rewards given. Not every truly saved Christian will hear "Well done my good and faithful servant." To me the P in tulip is perseverance of belief; not perseverance of obedience. Jesus prayed for Peter "that your faith may not fail." Not "that you will never stumble or sin ever again."

John MacArthur has never taught you have to look at your sin, he literally says it's not about perfection it's about direction. It's about what is your heart want, does your heart want God and want to know the one true God? Because before you were saved you had no desire to know about Him whatsoever. That is what John MacArthur has always taught, this man is just using the title to get views. John MacArthur has taught it is always the cross that saves, it is the only thing that can save. John MacArthur has never taught you have to look at your sin. So the question was wrong from the get-go and instead of this man correcting it he goes on and accusing John MacArthur of these false teachings that he has never taught before.
