Its good to read the Present with Religion, a book for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the truth and live in it and change ourselves according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes truw repentance which means changing our minds and alao true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelomf process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gate that leada to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.

I used to listen to John MacArthur for years and be a Calvinist until a friend of mine told me they disagreed with the five points. So I examined the scriptures and found Calvinism to be 100% false. Faith precedes regeneration and the Bible tells us repent and believe and you will receive the Holy Spirit. I would encourage everyone to test the things he says with scripture. “Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬. There’s so many more verses just like this. John MacArthur is teaching you that this happens in reverse. And he gets so many other things wrong I can no longer listen to him. Search out other teachers and test all things to scripture. There’s a man named Steve Gregg who is far more knowledgeable,humble,honest and much less known who teaches all these things and encourages you to form your own opinions on them thru reading the word. This is such a flawed message that one day he will be embarrassed he said this. Think. At seven minutes he (does not say where but he) quotes a bit of John 3. Of course in John 3 Jesus says to Nicodemus "You must be born of Water and the Holy Spirit" [Catholic Baptism and Confirmation]. It was the Pharisees who professed belief in God and claimed they were chosen and saved ..... they even claimed they believed AND followed the Law JESUS said they were not saved as they cheated the widow stole etc & claimed to follow the Law but DID NOT. JESUS did not criticize their belief but their ACTIONS towards other people !!

Let me help you if you were not paying attention in Greek class. The words "born of water and the Spirit" refers to spiritual birth that cleanses from sin and brings spiritual transformation (Ezk. 36:25-27). In the Greek The expression born again comes from John 3:3, where Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again (gennao, the term used for the genealogy in Mt. 1:1-17) again (anothen). The term anothen can mean again or from above. The meaning again for anothen occurs in Galatians 4:9, which is the only clear instance of the meaning in the NT. All other uses of the term mean from above (See Jn. 3:3; 19:11; James 1:17; 3:15, 17) or something similar (such as top in Mt. 27:51; Mk. 15:38; Jn. 19:23). It is likly that Nicodemus misunderstood Jesus' use of anothen, thinking He meant again as in a second time. This is why Nicodemus responded the way he did, by a reference to physical birth (3:4). But Jesus went on to indicate that He was referring to the other meaning of anothen, a birth from above, a birth from the Spirit (vv.5,6,8).

Or to clarify this phrase "born of water and the Spirit," can not refer to Christian baptism , as this would have been meaningless to Nicodemus as this point in salvation history. It also does not mean that baptism is necessary fro eternal life since this would contradict the single requirement of faith for eternal life in John 1:12; 3:16; 36; 8:24; 20:31. He correctly address the misconception in exegesis.
