I dont care if he sings badly here, the “man in a suitcase” part is awesome!!!

Oh my, he's making such an effort to sing! Listen to his voice... God! He was down that night... Still, he's always on the very top, so no problem at all :)

They should have done all this recording on Nov 5 at the Metro theatre in Sydney. If that performance was made into a dvd, this video would have a bazillion hits! I

The answer is in the question. And the ballad of the beauty of love comes forth. and takes a bow.

@NorseMayers Why does everybody think he's "a bit off" when the only thing he does is NOT use a stupid PitchCorrector thing, which he does in a lot of his concerts... This is John Mayer singing for real, and it's great. He doesn't need stupid technology to control his voice! But when he does use it, almost nobody notices and thinks that is how he sounds for real... He's the best, but only when he's singing for real, like in this concert!

Besides good performance, what a Wonderful sound guy

I think this was an awesome show! Mayer really wasn't off as much on this night as people have been saying. Mayer said in a concert a couple of years ago (can't remember the video), that when he was younger he was just swinging for the fences and wasn't even seeing if they were home runs but just kept swinging for homeruns. He said something along those lines and now he's been around a bit longer and he's not the kid he once was. Mayer truly is evolving as a musicians and guitar player surely!

I never thought DeLa leaving would have such a huge impact on Mayer's sound, but these old jams just don't sound the same without DeLa playing bass.

I am driving up 85 in the Kind of morning that Lasts all afternoon I'm just stuck inside the gloom Four more exits to My apartment but I am tempted to Keep the car in drive And leave it all behind 'Cause I wonder sometimes About the outcome Of a still verdictless life Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Why, why Georgia why? I rent a room and I Fill the spaces with Wooden places to Make it feel like home But all I feel's alone It might be a quarter life crisis Or just a stirring in my soul Either way I wonder sometimes about the outcome Of a still verdictless life Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Why, why Georgia why? So what so I've got a smile on But it's hiding the quiet superstitions in my head Don't believe me Don't believe me When I say I've got it down Everybody is Just a stranger but That's the danger in Going my own way I guess it's a price I have to pay Still "Everything happens For a reason" Is no reason not to ask myself If I'm living it right Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Why, tell me why Why, why Georgia why? Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: John Mayer

@blaketommey a couple different places actually. but it's kinda believable. still although it's thd internet that's why I put "I heard" in front of it. I don't really believe it but I leave it open for speculation.

@foxyfoxy06 We're not complaining about his composing of songs. We're complaining about his "musical spirit" which is missing now. I can't talk for Birelli80 but I'm a huge Mayer fan and it's a big step to say things like that. It's easy to keep your eyes/ears/mind closed and say he is just progressing. It's a hard piece of work to see his losing his "musical spirit"

@Telecasterpunk OK, but "something is missing, and I don't know what it is, at all".

Dear god, everyones a critic! this was still a great show! does anyone realise how ridiculous come of the notes he hits are?!
yes. i like his voice. doesn't change the fact that he was flat as fuck the whole time.
@JohnnieCameronMusic13 жыл бұрын
@thejoshlee22 I fully agree, DeLa pretty much made songs such as no such thing the hits they are.

@guitarplayer1994 Man... I do, too! In the past, this guy's concerts had an unique atmosphere that is completely lost today. You're right: today he's better on guitar and vocals (maybe), but he lost his "musicist spirit".
@guitarplayer199414 жыл бұрын
@Birelli80 To be honest, I have to agree. He's not touching me more like he did in older days. Of course, technically he became better on guitar and in vocals also (except this show) but he's loosing his spirit...He doesn't concentrate on the main thing, the feelings and how to transmit them. I miss the older days.

yeah.. his new album was a lot weaker than the energy from room for squares and the subsequent albums, especially Continuum and Try!
@punkdude54314 жыл бұрын
doesn't matter how sick? a common cold can really screw with a person's pitch and tone of voice. but, you're right he was flat as hell. i love most of his new stuff. continuum is better, it just has a lot more music on it. this new album has good hits but i'll agree he didn't do anything new.
@aaronjordan01038814 жыл бұрын
man thats wrong... i talk to deLa thru facebook.. he says.. he want a space for his doings and family... and soon he hope to find the right and suitable band for him.. thats all he says..
@nthsieh92814 жыл бұрын
yeah, as i heard more songs i began to dig it more. Im diggin his tracks from continuum, but damn dude, i hope you can agree with this, his new shit is shit. it just isnt hackin it. cant feel it. it also doesn't matter how "sick" he was during the show, hes still flat.
@Birelli8014 жыл бұрын
God... JM have lost his full potential and joy somewhere in the past. Something went terribly wrong with this guy, and I, as a very, very long time JM fan, want to know what it was, since today he is definitively not that joyful performer he used to be. Just listen to "Room for Squares" and "Heavier Things" and watch to "Any Given Thurday" (maybe the best lead-singer DVD ever done) to understand what I'm saying. It's a shame, but we can say he is currently making covers of his own songs.
@paulk198315 жыл бұрын
Stop talking, just play the damn music. This guy loves to hear himself talk. Also how can you have a sleeve of tattoos and sing this song.

oh, lol, i thought you were talking about another type of sick. like sick in terms of awesome. i was thinking like... yeahhh.. he maybe talked some cool shit between songs like usual, but he still was flat as hell. thats fortunate, because i hated his singing in this concert.
