Apparently the girl he's talking about is 'Dear Marie' and she also inspired 'Your Body is a Wonderland' and 'Breakaway'. According to a Rolling Stone interview, they got in touch at one point through email. She told him she smiled whenever she heard his songs. He calls her precious and that she knows the truth. BUT... that he thinks she was trying to forget him because she has a family now. Or else, it's just him that continues to pine for her and their shared innocence in youth.

If you actually watched some of his interviews you will discover a very smart and very funny man. hold on. first of all, its The Beatles. secondly, if your thinking john mayer based on his like 10 year career is more talented than john lennon, your obviously not familiar with any of the beatles stuff. the beatles broke barriers and had the creativity to make new music, and write amazing lyrics. john mayer, although very talented, may seem to have better vocals or even music playing skills in your eyes, but saying he is more talented is probably the biggest overstatement i've heard all year.
