I've got confess, 9 years ago when this song was released I didn't enjoyed it, but now, as a grown man I listened to this song while driving, and it was fantastic!!! Feels like that now I fully understand what John was expressing in it's lyrics as also guitar rifs!! John mayer always the better!

I can relate with that Im 31 now and I remember when this song was on the radio. I find alot of things common with mayer being that songs and records I appreciate far more now then i did when they were released. Born and Raised was that for me as well. that album aged really well for me

Still terrible. Terrible singer, also. He thought it was going to be a big hit because of the over publish breakup of a 19 year old girl. That Perv’s career went downhill since. Almost has been status today. That 19 year old is now the biggest name in the music industry. And John is in his organic shoes, sitting in his million dollar couch, repeating oh my god, she’s insane, she wrote a song about me. I bet he still thinks about her. He should’ve known.

Talented, talented, talented! Who but JM could think to write a song using a paper doll metaphor? That alone blows my mind, then he composes it magnificently throwing in a little psychoanalysis for color. His genius comes into play, because he's got us all enjoying listening to it like it's common board-of-fare. It's not. John is a real Master, the Man and the King ❣🌟💎👑

Zane Carney is an incredible talent. Saw him in an intimate gig for like 50 people the day after Mayers wembley show...the man is incredible!! I'm a drummer. These guitarists are simply inspiring to me as a musician. With Zane and Sean around you're gonna hear some pretty amazing stuff from Mayer in the future...and I thought he could never better the Continuum/Where the light is era... ...I might just have to eat those words. This is probably his most accomplished live performance I've seen of any from him. This is really really good.

This is the first tour he's ever done because he said it didn't really interest him until Mayer. He also tracked on both of his most recent albums. Sterling is killer too for real. Look him up! I thought the song was catty and possibly misogynist. But the song is well done. It's hard not to like the song, the melody is catchy and there is a groove to it. It's simple and there's a nice pocket of sway to it. Very good musicianship, and clever writing. Not overly dramatic. Calm and mellow.

I don't give a fuck about what this song is all about, it has a nice sound and rhythm tune in it, especially the solo part's..which supposed to be the extra treats during a life performance. He gave us the treat, but not completely cause of cutting of the song but not finished yet- ending, Which is highly frustrating if you were really enjoying it and didn't expect a zero fade out... But then again, in fact, he is right about that also ;-)

It's like applying a shellac of poison. It's just delicious, wonderful poison that makes you not care how late you're out 'til or where you're going. Cut him some slack, he's on tour at the moment so obviously his voice is getting a lot of work. Singing live on festival stages and in open air concerts is a different technique to singing in a studio or indoor gig like here; once your voice becomes accustomed to one after a while, your style in the smaller venues will be completely different. It's not that his voice is worse, it's just been working harder than perhaps it normally would on a daily basis (:

Actually it was. The drinking gave him gastroesophageal reflux, that put his vocal chords in a cronic state of inflamation, and then the granuloma appeared as a response of all that inflamation. That's the short "explanation". You can google it up, there's a video of even him talking about it and saying that.

If you would've blinked then I would've Looked away at the first glance If you tasted poison, you could've Spit me out at the first chance If I was some paint, did it splatter On a promising grown man? And if I was a child, did it matter If you got to wash your hands? Ooh, oh All I used to do was pray Would've, could've, should've If you'd never looked my way I would've stayed on my knees And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil At nineteen And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts Memories feel like weapons And now that I know, I wish you'd left me wondering If you never touched me, I would've Gone along with the righteous If I never blushed, then they could've Never whispered about this And if you never saved me from boredom I could've gone on as I was But, Lord, you made me feel important And then you tried to erase us Ooh, oh You're a crisis of my faith Would've, could've, should've If I'd only played it safe I would've stayed on my knees And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil At nineteen And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts Memories feel like weapons And now that I know, I wish you'd left me wondering God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind I regret you all the time I can't let this go, I fight with you in my sleep The wound won't close, I keep on waiting for a sign I regret you all the time If clarity's in death, then why won't this die? Years of tearing down our banners, you and I Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil At nineteen And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts Memories feel like weapons And now that I know, I wish you'd left me wondering God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind I regret you all the time I can't let this go, I fight with you in my sleep The wound won't close, I keep on waiting for a sign I regret you all the time Oh, God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind I regret you all the time I can't let this go, I fight with you in my sleep The wound won't close, I keep on waiting for a sign I regret you all the time

@@lolagrace_tpwk2009-2010 is in the distant past now. Even Tay herself has said she’s moved on and over it. Meanwhile she continues to have one of the most unhinged and disrespectful fan bases in the world (granted Mayer’s haters a minority of her entire base, but still). John’s also bettered himself since the controversies, and this may shock some Swifties but John and Tay also have a lot of mutual friends in the industry as well.
