Got them all right. The fat and rounded tone is very obvious with the custom blk 1 w abby ibarra pups. Reminded me of the where the light is guitar tone.

Wow I got all 3 correct!! Here’s the differences in how I could tell: Silver Sky has this hi-fi quality, a lot of clarity and “plinky-ness” in the upper mids Masterbuilt BLK1: Very full and warm sounding, more lower midrange, and has a much softer and slower attack NOS BLK1: obviously more mid-scooped, so not as full sounding as the Masterbuilt, but also a quicker and harder attack

There are clear differences between the guitars but nothing overwhelming. This video really proves that we focus too much on guitars and too little on amps and pedals.

to me master built blk 1 has a much more thicker and warmer sound to the rest and is my favourite sounding one but all three sound killer

I notice the NOS Black1 has the neck tone pot rolled down about half way in both dirty and clean clips. That scews the results of the comparison doesn’t it? Either way great tones, nice playing, and fun video thanks for this.

The purpose of this video was to get all three guitars sounding as close as possible. The NOS is a lot brighter, so I had to adjust the tone to get it sounding like the Masterbuilt. In part 1 I compare the two guitars with all settings the same.

hmm, had the silver sky and the NOS switched. unsurprisingly I got the masterbuilt correctly, but I feel like that one just has a different goal with its pickups.

There was another Mayer Strat that was just solid black and now goes for like 7 grand. The relic Custom Shop one is now like 20 grand more. I'm curious how much it originally was.

Masterbuilt sounded best, but Silversky was a very close 2nd, NOS was last.
