Whilst I agree about the transfer quality (and supposed enhancement) one has to admit that this one of McCormack's greatest recordings (in his Italian operatic incarnation). This Tosti song is beautifully sung with great legato and intelligence. One can see why he was regarded at the time as one of the greatest ITALIAN lyric tenors- this is a model of singing. Thanks so much for posting.

I have that same 5 LP set!! I bought it as a markdown from Brentano's! I believe they were a collection from Everest Records!.........that set had many of the Odeon recordings.......speaking of LPs......do you have the collections from Pearl Records?

@transformingArt It's not too bad - The recent "remasterings" of Caruso recordings for example are much worse in my opinion.
