John McDonnell addresses Muslim worshippers in London after election win

John McDonnell, Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington, addressed Muslim worshippers at the Hayes Muslim Centre in London following his re-election in the general elections. During his speech, he stated that he, along with a number of other MPs, is urging the UK government to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and to restore funding for Unrwa to expedite aid delivery to Gaza.
McDonnell also mentioned that he has requested that David Lammy, the foreign secretary, who will soon visit Israel, push for the recognition of a Palestinian state. Additionally, he has written to the home and foreign secretaries urging them to allow injured Palestinian children to come to the UK for necessary medical treatment.
